Marvel's Civil War II # 3

 By Mark Rodriguez

An Inhuman is discovered that can see visions of the future, and Captain Marvel wants to use him to prevent disasters where they start. When Ulysses predicts where and when Thanos would arrive on Earth, Captain Marvel leads a team into battle, which leads to the death of War Machine and puts She-Hulk in critical condition. Iron Man kidnaps the kid and tries to force him to see his visions so he can study how they work. The Ultimates arrives to stop Tony, but suddenly the Inhuman has a vision of the Hulk going on a rampage and killing everyone. Not wasting any time, Captain Marvel heads off to talk to Bruce Banner himself.

The issue starts with Matt Murdock holding Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel on trial. He asks her if she remembers the events of August the 19th. She says she does. It was when she went to confront Dr. Banner.

Banner is surprised to see Captain Marvel and she asks him what he's working on. Tony also arrives, without his armor, and also asks about his experiments. Banner says he hasn't turned into the Hulk in almost a year and wonder what's going on. Tony says it's best if he steps outside with them and tells him to stay calm no matter what. Banner is confused and steps outside to see an army of superheroes waiting for him. Banner asks what he's done. Tony and Medusa say he hasn't done anything... yet.

Murdock brings Tony Stark to the stand and asks him how Banner reacted upon seeing them all. Tony says he was baffled.

The heroes explain to Banner about Ulysses and the vision he had. Banner is surprised by how horrible it was.

Captain Marvel tells the court how they explained to Banner that the visions Ulysses was having have all came true, but they stopped them before they could start. Tony explains that they don't agree yet on what to do with knowledge of the future. Bruce asks if they came to put him down. Tony says no, since they're also divided on what to do with him, and they need proof first.

Captain Marvel tells the court that they found proof. Hank McCoy hacked into Banner's files. Beast says that Banner was experimenting on himself with dead Gamma cells. Everyone is surprised since the last time he did this it caused serious trouble. Maria Hill from SHIELD says he will be detained.

Banner yells that his experiments have been keeping Hulk away for a year, and now they come to his private property to accuse him. Just then an arrow strikes Banner down, much to to shock of both Tony and Carol. Captain Marvel tells the stand that this was when all hell broke loose.

Carol sees that the arrow came from nearby trees. Captain America (Falcon), Spider-Man (Parker) and (female) Thor fly to see who it is, as a crossbow falls out of the tree. Tony tells Carol that he wanted to prevent them from doing something like this. Spider-Man and Thor are surprised to see that Hawkeye shot the arrow, and he holds his hands out to get handcuffed.

The court now addresses Clint Barton. As Hawkeye is arrested by SHIELD agents, Captain Marvel asks why he did it. He finally answers to Captain America (Steve) that it was because Banner has asked him to.

He explains that one day Banner arrived in front of him and gave him a material that will kill him. He says if he ever turns into Hulk again, he wants Clint to kill him since he knows that eventually he will be able to live with that choice. Banner hasn't turned into the Hulk for a year, but he still dreams of rage and blood and is afraid that one day he'll wake up to find out that it wasn't a dream.

Murdock says it will be hard to take his word for it since he was the only witness to this meeting, and also due to Hawkeye's past. Clint  says he hopes his most recent actions as a hero will help make up for his past sins. The court calls Hank McCoy to the stand.

Beast confirms that the arrow tip was made from a material Banner created that was found on his files. There was also a video diary in which Banner admits to having asked Hawkeye to kill him if it came down to it. Murdock says Banner didn't Hulk out though. Tony says all he saw was a man betrayed by his peers. Hawkeye said he saw how Banner was getting agitated and how his eyes flickered green.

Carol admits on live tv, that they didn't know of Hawkeye's plan, but what he did saved a lot of lives. She also says they have used Ulysses' abilities with great success since the death of the Hulk. She says that thanks to Ulysses, they stopped a dozen incidents before they occurred. None of the visions have been wrong, and none of them have had casualties like what happened to Banner.

Tony Starks yells about the death of his friend Banner, one of the founding members of the Avengers, killed on his own front lawn. Back to the scene, Tony is yelling at Carol, saying it's her fault since she chased this, and now another hero is dead. He asks her who's going to be next on her hit list. The Inhumans leave with Ulysses. Tony yells that this wasn't their call to make. He says the courts are going to bury Hawkeye for killing an Avenger and then they'll bury Carol for forcing his hand. Back to the courtroom, the jury has reached their verdict.

Tony is sulking in his room when Mary Jane Watson asks him if he wants to see verdict. He says he already knows what they're going to say, but MJ insists he goes see anyway. Just then Friday, Tony's A.I hologram assistant tells Tony that she figured out how Ulysses' visions work. She then shows Tony and MJ the future as his visions would predict.

My Thoughts-

Wow what an issue. Hulk actually dies in this issue, and this one actually stick for a year or so. I believe his absence is what leads to the new Hulk, Amadeus Cho. I don't follow Hulk that much in his own series, so I'm not sure if Cho is still around after his big revival. If he's still around I haven't heard too much about him lately. In many ways this story marks a lot of changes for Marvel and the characters, like what happens to She-Hulk as a result of her coma and whatnot.

We get to see a big group of superheroes again, though the main characters are Carol, Tony, Hawkeye and Banner. Once again we see Old Man Logan and Deadpool in the crowds, but they don't really do much. I guess you have to buy their comic tie-ins to see more of them. I also wondered if the events Carol mentioned they stopped happened in the tie-in comics or not. I know MORDOK is dangerous, but I don't think Black Cat warrants sending a barrage of superheroes after her.

Tony has it tough having lost two friends during all this. I know this isn't any of Carol's fault, but I do wonder who else will be on her 'hit list'. I don't think Tony can handle another heroic tragedy without snapping.

Marvel has to do something with all these legacy characters running around. We currently have 2 Captain Americas, 2 Spider-Men and 2 Thors running around and I always have to waste time specifying which one I'm referring to so we can avoid confusion. Luckily Old Man Logan appeared after the regular Wolverine died because then we'd also have two Logans running around. Like I know Batman has several Robins, but they were not all named Robin at the same time, nor do any of them share the name while another Robin is currently on duty. Do something about this Marvel.

Anyways, I can't believe they killed off the Hulk, even if it's just for now, and I'm surprised they got Hawkeye to do it. With him being arrested I figure he'll also be out of action too for a while. I wonder what will happen next and where this story takes us.

Dragonball- It's time to go beyond Z or end it

By Mark Rodriguez So while the Dragonball Super anime has ended for a few years now, and the Dragonball Super Broly movie is over a year old as well, the Dragonball Super manga has actually continued past the Tournament of Power and  Super Broly movie. As this new arc, nicknamed the Moro Arc after its main villain is coming to a close, the question is where do they do from here? Also before you get into this article, I really hope you know your DBZ because there are just waaaaaay too many characters to take the time out to explain who everyone is one by one. Dragonball and Dragonball Z is one of the longest running anime and manga series since the 80's and while it seemed it was put to pasture after Dragonball GT ended in 1997, the only thing left was for the American dubs to catch up. Despite this the love and nostalgia for the series lived on with videogames and the occasional special here and there that would bring back the characters (like the Yo, Son Goku and his Friends Retu

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi

Five Nights at Freddy's- How FNAF 2 Complicated the Lore

By Mark Rodriguez Five Nights at Freddy's.... a game series that started out by being a security guard trying to survive 5 nights at a pizzeria full of haunted animatronics that spawned lots of sequels. Now the latest one is looking like it's going to be about some of the animatronics actually trying to keep you safe from a serial killer that might have been brainwashed by a possessed VR game. What the hell? FNAF.... how it started and where it's going......  Here's a quick trip down memory lane over just how simple the story of FNAF seemed to be in the first game, and how the second game started the long path of the huge mess that we have now. Now when the first game came out back in 2014, creator Scott Cawthon had no way of knowing it would be a smash hit with lots of sequels. In fact, it was a bit of a last desperate attempt to make it in the gaming business. It's hard to believe nowadays, but had FNAF failed, Scott would have given up working on video games and
