Just like the original arcade game, Haggar, Cody and Guy fight their way through the gang until they make it to their boss Belger. Also like the arcade, the battle ended with Belger being knocked through his high-rise window. However in this case, not only do we have a whole other issue to go through, Belger also took Haggar along for the ride as now they're both falling out the window! What will happen next?    "Takedown" opens with Belgar and Haggar falling out the sky rise window. Belgar tells Haggar that he managed to save his daughter, but now they're both going to die. Haggar grabs onto Belger and says they're not going to die. Haggar says he spent years professional wrestling, and to survive in the ring, you need to learn how to take a fall. The mayor Mike Haggar and his friends Cody and Guy decided to take matters into their own hands and started a rampage against the Mad Gears. After a run in with Edi E and Lucia, they were informed where to find Bred, who drove off with Jessica. Meanwhile Bred had already dumps Jessica off at the main hideout of the leader of the Mad Gear gang!    "Breakdown" opens with Bred showing off his new car to Abigail and naming all its features. Abigail says it's a tiny car and asks why he didn't get a truck. Bred says trucks are for work, while cars are a symbol. As Bred goes on and on about his car, Abigail is grabbed and pulled aside. Bred turns to see Abigail knocked out. Cody asks Bred to tell him where he took Jessica or they'll beat up his best friend. Bred says he barely likes Abigail. Mike Haggar happens to be a former pro wrestler, so he sets out to rescue his daughter alongside Street Fighter Cody and Bushinryu Ninja Guy. During the fight, Haggar and Damnd break through the concrete and they fall into the subway below. Cody and Guy steal some motorbikes to catch up to the next stop. Meanwhile, Haggar is surrounded by the train passengers, who all happen to be Mad Gear gang members!   "Shakedown" opens in the Metro City subway system, the roughest part of an already rough town. The train was packed with all sorts of hoodlums and gang members... and they'll all regret ever hearing the name Mike Haggar. The Mayor defeats them all and focuses his ire on Damnd.   The Mad Gear member says he's followed his career and knows Mike has been in six Slam Master Battle Royales.  By Mark Rodriguez I originally bought the first 1 issues of this 4-part mini series directly from the Udon website. I got the third one from a Third Eye blind box out of sheer luck, and I got issue 4 from Stories. Somehow all four (as well as some other comics) were lost in the move from our apartment to our new house. I eventually bit the bullet and re-purchased all four from Hipcomic. So now that I got the full set again, let's look into Udon's story based on the popular 1989 beat-em-up that still lives in our hearts so many years later.   "Nowhere Fast" opens at an arcade as kids play games like Street Fighter and Bio Hazard. One of them puts a quarter into Final Fight.  We go to Metro City in 1989, or rather the city feels like it's always 1989. Mike Haggar returns from the lunch on his first day as mayor. By Mark Rodriguez Every Free Comic Book Day there's one or two issues in particular that I'm looking for that catch my interest, and they're usually tied to the Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter. I picked this one up over at a comic shop called Stories, so let's check it out.  The story opens some time ago at the Metro City Pier. Eagle entertains his guests at the Metro City Bay with a match between Ryu and Lee. Ryu isn't interested in the 'circus act' or the money, but Eagle says he did agree to take on the challenge.  Elsewhere, Haggar and Guy are staking out the docks. The police captain wants them to move in, but Haggar says it's too soon and money hasn't been exchanged yet. They can't afford to mess this up of the ones behind the gambling ring will be out of their reach. Haggar says the man running the fight is named Eagle, but he's just a front man. The gambling ring is run by one of the big crime families but they're not sure which ...
