By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix Force arrived on Earth and it was split into 5, lending its power to Scott, Emma, Namor, Colossus and Magik. After several defeats, only Scott and Emma remained with Phoenix powers. Xavier tries to make Scott stand down and after the Avengers and the X-Men joined forces to take them down. In desperation, Cyclops attacked Emma and took on the full powers of the Phoenix upon himself. Killing Xavier, Cyclops blames the others for pushing him this far and becomes the Dark Phoenix.  The story opens 72 hours before the present with Tony explaining how The Scarlet Witch once said 'no more mutants' and her chaos magic somehow affected the world and rid the world of mutants. The Phoenix Force somehow took note of this and decided to bring mutants back, Hope being the first mutant born in a while. It was heralded that she was meant to take the full power of the Phoenix. Wanda's mutant magic and the Phoenix's divine power are caught in some crazy cyc...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix has arrived to Earth and in an attempt to stop it, Iron Man managed to split it into 5 parts. These powers went to Cyclops, Emma, Namor, Colossus and Magik, but whenever one of them gets defeated, their power goes to the others. At this point only Cyclops and Emma remain with those godly powers. After Hope was able to defeat Cyclops after she absorbed the powers of the mystical dragon Shao Lao, Cyclops now goes after Emma's powers.  The issue opens with Captain America asking someone for help since at this point this is a fight against Scott Summers and the Phoenix Force that they just can't win. If they lose this fight, they will lose everything. The person he is talking to is none other then The Hulk, and he will agree to help them.  The Avengers and the X-Men all gather together including Spider-Man, Storm, She-Hulk, Psylocke, Gambit and Rogue to name a few. Iceman tells Xavier to look into his mind and they both know that Scott is like a...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix heads to Earth and the Avengers want to destroy it while the X-Men want to use it. Iron Man used a giant mech to blast it out of the sky, but it instead split into five and gave Cyclops, Emma, Colossus, Magik and Namor its powers. The Avengers took Namor down and his powers made the other four stronger. Spider-Man was doing his best to stop Colossus and Magik and they ended up taking each other out. Now Cyclops finally found Hope and has arrived in front of the Avengers, now being three times as powerful. Round 10 opens in the Mystical City of K'un Lun as Iron Fist grabs Hope and jumps out of the way of one of Cyclops' optic blasts. Tony detects the Phoenix energy nearby and worried since Hope isn't ready yet. Cyclops asks why he even bothers to resist after all they have already accomplished.  Iron Fist tells Hope to run as he tries to hold Cyclops back. Cyclops says the Avengers are nothing to him anymore and uses his powers to levitate and ...

The Avengers managed to defeat Phoenix Namor, but even though he lost his godly powers, they went back to the remaining four, making them even more powerful! The Story starts '17 hours from now' as our faceless protagonist finds himself covered in his own blood, but needs to rescue someone. Phoenix Colossus stares him down and tells him to stay down. The hero refuses and Colossus punches him out.  The story goes back to the present as Spider-Man watches over Hope's training in the Mystical City of K'un Lun. Spider-Man tells us it's been 8 days since they've been forced to hide here and Wakanda has fallen. The heroes come and go in attempts to stop the remaining Phoenix X-Men but always retur...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix comes to Earth and the X-Men want to use it while the Avengers want to destroy it. Iron Man uses a giant mech to destroy it with a blast, but instead if divides into five and inhabits Cyclops, Emma, Namor, Colossus and Magik. With the Phoenix Five being too powerful for their own good, the Avengers come for Hope Summers and she leaves with them voluntarily. Avengers took Hope to Wakanda as they prepare to send her to the dimension of K’un-Lun for training. Emma Frost found out and sent Namor to wage war on the Avengers behind Cyclops’ back. Let’s see how this all goes down. We start off seconds after Wolverine and Hope stepped into the portal to K’un-Lun, the magical world of Kung Fu, as Namor’s tidal waves start thrashing the country. Iron Man warns Lei Kung the Thunderer that if they don’t close the portal NOW they risk Namor finding it and also destroying his world. Iron Man grabs Thunderer and flies with him into the portal, closing it behind him b...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix arrives and the X-Men want to use it to possibly save mutants and the Avengers want to destroy it to save the world. Iron Man creates a giant Iron Man Mech and blasts the Phoenix but it divides into 5 and inhabits 5 of the X-Men. While the Phoenix Five do good upon the world, the Avengers still have doubts. They head out to catch out Hope, but Cyclops wants to stop them. Just then the Scarlet Witch arrives and Hope goes with the Avengers. Despite having Phoenix Powers, Cyclops still hurt his hand when trying to touch Wanda, and had no choice but to watch them get away with Hope. Cyclops now wants to end the Avengers.   Round 7 starts as the Phoenix Five storm the Avengers Tower, but with no sign of the team. Their main concern at the moment is the Scarlet Witch, since for some reason she was able to hurt Cyclops earlier. Magik finds them and warps the team to their location. The Avengers fight off the Phoenix Five and the rest of the X-Men as best they...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix is arriving an the X-Men wish to use it in their favor, while the Avengers wish to destroy it since it is too powerful and dangerous. Iron Man built a giant Iron Man Mech and shot it with a huge energy blast. However, rather than killing the cosmic entity, it split into five and took possession of Cyclops, Emma, Magik, Namor and Colossus. The Phoenix Five now head to Earth. What will the Avengers do now? Let’s check it out!! First off let me say this comic also came with 2 variant covers featuring Thor fighting Storm with a different saying on the bottom. If you picked the one that says ‘I’m with the Avengers!’, Thor is in color and Storm (and the rest of the cover) is in black and white. If you pick ‘I’m with the X-Men’, Storm is in color and Thor is in black and white. Awesome idea, however… THOR NEVER FIGHTS STORM IN THE BOOK. Hell, we see a lot of Thor… but Storm isn’t even in this.  Anyways, Round 6 starts off ten days after this event, as Ma...

By Mark Rodriguez The Phoenix is arriving and the X-Men wants to allow it to inhabit Hope to save their race, while the Avengers wants to destroy it before it can destroy everything, including mutants. Where we last left our heroes, the X-Men and Avengers were both on the blue side of the moon, about to fight over Hope… when Thor suddenly dropped into the scene and pointed out that the Phoenix was arriving. We start off Round 5 as Hope monologues about Thomas Ferebee, the man that dropped the A-Bomb in World War 2, and how everyone throughout history blames the bomb for the death and destruction and never the guy that actually pulled the trigger. Hope questions whether or not she is the bomb or the bombardier in this situation… since the Avengers and X-Men start to fight over her. Since we only have the members that arrived on the moon, the teams are more streamlined this time around… we have Captain America, Red Hulk, the Thing, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Wolverine on the Avengers s...
