Quick Review of AEW Double or Nothing *heavy spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez So this was an amazing success, and I was glad to be a part of it and watch it live from my laptop. After feeling dissatisfied with his previous position at his formal place of employment, Cody Rhodes went to Ring of Honor where he joined the Bullet Club and basically became big money. Alongside Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page and The Villain Marty Scurl, The Bullet Club basically ran things at RoH. Seeking more, Cody sought out to make his own PPV, hoping to be one of the highest making PPV that wasn't from the WWE, and we got All In. Cody would leave RoH, but rather than sign up with another wrestling company, he would help form his own organization, All Elite Wrestling, and here we are at their very first Pay Per View, Double or Nothing at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada. The company also works alongside the guys behind ProWrestlingTees and ProWrestlingCrate both of which I have given lots of dollars to by now. Aside from the regular cable

New AEW Fan Group

By Mark Rodriguez The AEW Crew (All Elite Wrestling Fan Club) I guess you can say I decided to go 'All In,' with this. I'll be tuning into the Bleacher Report Live the catch Double or Nothing this Saturday. Let's see how this goes. I'm pretty excited to be part of what could be the beginning of something great. Can't wait to see Cody, Dusty, Jericho and Omega in the ring.

Batman and the Outsiders # 1 (2019)

By Mark Rodriguez Batman has been in several super hero times throughout his career, one of them being The Outsiders. This time, Batman's line up includes Black Lightning, Katana, The Signal and Orphan. For those that don't know, The Signal is Batman's latest sidekick who he decided didn't want to be just another Robin. Orphan is Cassandra Cain, the pre-New 52 Batgirl brought back into modern day continuity. This looks like an awesome team and the comic seemed to have gotten great reviews, so I can't wait to check it out. Lesser Gods Part 1 opens somewhere in LA as a father and his daughter, Sofia, drive down the road. The father sees something and tries to stop the car. They crash into a man powerful enough to withstand a car coming at him. He grabs the father by the neck and green energy blasts out of all over his head, burning him alive. The poor man tells Sofia to run but the mysterious warrior grabs her by the neck as well. He says Sofia doesn't kno

The AtariBox (Atari VCS) is still alive? And shipping soon?

By Mark Rodriguez So about 2 years ago, some new guys bought the Atari license and announced that they were going to create a new console called the AtariBox. Honestly, I was quite curious about this because it was kinda cool to think of Atari making a comeback and I was into the idea of getting a new console that won't be one of the mainstream ones. Later on it was renamed the Atari VCS and they started an indiegogo to get support for it's release via crowdfunding. Now I'm not an expert on gaming console specs and all that (yes, gaming journalism at its finest), but from what I understand, the AtariBox will be a purely streaming console, as in all the games will be downloadable without need of discs or carts. Besides that it will also come with 100 pre-installed Atari classics from the arcades and the Atari 2600. The console can use a modern version of the classic Atari joystick, or a more modern controller that also works on PC. New modern games will be available and

Free Comic Book Day 2019- The Avengers

By Mark Rodriguez You just knew that had to have some sort of Avengers comic lined up for Free Comic Book Day with Avengers End Game out in theaters. I lost track of the Avengers for the last couple of months but based on the cover, it looks like Blade has joined the group. Let's see what this issue brings. Make Mine Avengers The issue opens 'somewhere, sometime' where Iron Man suddenly appears in a snowy region surrounded by some sort of snow wildcats. Tony has no idea where he is and has lost WiFi signal with all over the world. He realizes he's the only man on earth. Iron Man remembers how since the Final Host attacked the Earth, there have been several events that led the planet through some rough times. As he recalls this, we see Namor and his fish creatures attack a ship, enraged about the oil spills killing the sea. Tony explains that lately D.C has created their own team of heroes called The Supreme Squadron of America. These heroes head down to fight

Free Comic Book Day 2019- Street Fighter- Sakura VS Karin

By Mark Rodriguez It's almost a tradition to get a Street Fighter comic from Free Comic Book Day and this one looks like a fun ride. We've seen Karin and her rivalry with Sakura mostly from the Alpha series, now we can see it unfold in the Street Fighter 5 timeline. The story opens with chibi Chun Li having a showdown against chibi Morrigan in Gem Fighter. It looks like Morrigan and Lilith were about to put Chun Li away, but the Strongest Woman of the World unleashes a Diamond Crash Gem. This spells victory for Chun Li, as well as Sakura who playing the arcade. Kei shows up, angry that Sakura ignored her texts and was supposed to meet up with her as well as Natsu and Hinata. Sakura apologizes and says she was 'in the zone' since she considers fighting games to be her training. Sakura explains that between working at the arcade, college, her training and watching over Ryu's dojo in his absence, she uses gaming as her time to train her mind as well as he

Punch Line (Free Comic Book Day 2019)

By Mark Rodriguez It's time for Free Comic Book Day and it's always cool to pick up some new and unique comics that aren't just the usual Marvel, DC or IDW stuff. This one is Punch Line, so let's check it out. The story opens with young woman in a cemetery, having evaded whoever was chasing her. She is bleeding from the side and thinks she can just lay down and die there. The woman sends a text apologizing to Shawn and telling him that Joel got the drop on her and Dragon Tooth is gone. She smashes her phone and sits on bench to get some rest. A woman comes up and tells her that she is sitting on a private bench. The younger girl tells her she came to the cemetery to get away from family drama and sketch. She says this particular area is a dead zone, no cell signal. The older woman says not to worry about moving to another bench, she'll be taking off anyway as she shows her hand covered in blood. The younger woman asks if she's okay. The wounded wom

Batman Legends of the Dark Knight # 13 (Prey Part 3)

By Mark Rodriguez Batman is still in his early years of crime fighting, and even when capturing and handing over a drug lord named The Fish over to police, they still want to catch him. An officer named Max Cort is obsessed with taking Batman down, and he caught Batman talking to Capt. Gordon. Now he sides with Dr. Hugo Strange, who is also obsessed with Batman, as they plan to take down both The Dark Knight and Gordon! "Prey part 3 Night Scourge" opens with Dr. Hugo Strange out on a date with the Mayor's daughter Catherine, but all he talks about is how close he is to discovering Batman's identity. Catherine doesn't care and only went on the dinner date as a courtesy. She wishes to be taken home and Strange angrily ends the date. Batman is having doubts as his whole plan of being a vigilante is falling apart. He sees a headline about people thinking he's working with Catwoman as a criminal and worries it's too late. Strange sulks in his apartme

Batman Legends of the Dark Knight # 12 (Prey Part 2)

By Mark Rodriguez Batman is out to stop a drug dealer named The Fish, but the police don't trust him. The Mayor appointed a new Vigilante Task Force and put Gordon in charge. Meanwhile, Dr. Hugo Strange was brought aboard as their consultant as he starts to become more and more obsessed with Batman. "Prey Part 2- Dark Sides" begins with Batman actually walking all the way home, saying his hang glider was useless and he really needs his new car. Hugo Strange is still dressed as Batman and on the ledge of his building, saying he understands how powerful the Dark Knight must feel. A gust of wind almost knocks him off the ledge and he scrambles back inside. He laments that he can share Batman's mind but not his body. He has a mannequin there with him and he yells at it, saying she is taunting him. He smacks its head off and wonders how Batman feels when he pummels his enemies. Bruce finally arrives at his home, and Alfred helps him inside. Bruce isn't injure

Batman Legends of the Dark Knight # 11 (Prey Part 1)

By Mark Rodriguez Dr. Hugo Strange is one of Batman's oldest foes and one of his first recurring enemies during the Dark Knight's early days. Recently, his persona as an insane psychiatrist is more known to the general public for his role in the Arkham City game, but in his first appearances Strange was more like the average mad scientist villain. The following 5-part story takes place in Batman's early career and re-introduces Strange as the psychiatrist that we know nowadays. These 5 comics were part of the goodies I managed to snatch up at LVL Up Expo 2019. Prey part 1 opens with cops watching one of their own posing as a customer so they can catch the drug dealer in the act. Once he officially buys the drugs, the police make their move. Batman swoops in to catch the drug dealer first and takes him to a rooftop to find out where the drugs are coming from. Batman interrogates the dealer while the police run up the stairs to arrest both of them. The dealer is afrai
