All-New Venom # 6

By Mark Rodriguez After several red herrings with Luke Cage, Rick Jones, Robbie Robertson and even Madam Masque, it turns out that the All-New Venom was none other than Mary Jane. How did Venom and MJ end up being linked together? What will be Robbie and Paul's reaction? What about all these people out to kill Venom? let's see what happens next. The story opens as Mary Jane explains that everything started during the Venom War when Meridius, an evil future version of Eddie Brock, released an ancient mega-symbiote called the Arachniote. MJ was fighting against it as Jackpot and was losing badly. She knew all of this was Venom's fault. Venom says that's not fair. MJ asks who glooped up her machine. Venom said she was the one that wanted her superhero slot machine to not be so random. Spider-Man and Venom helped make it work better. Instead of some random useless power or machine, she now had something that worked, just like she asked for. As Robbie and Paul sit and hear ...

All-New Venom # 5

By Mark Rodriguez There's a new Venom running around and there are four possible suspects. Luke Cage was a possible candidate, but Venom was shot in the face with the bullet going through instead of bouncing off him. Madam Masque was another suspect but she has been seen fighting against Venom directly on two separate occasions. Rick Jones might have been Venom, but turned out to be another symbiote named Sleeper. That only leaves Robbie. Is Robbie Robertson really the All-New Venom? Venom's host will be revealed!! The issue opens with Robbie paying MJ and Paul a visit. Paul wasn't expecting Robbie and asks if he's here for Dylan. Paul explains that Dylan should be in school, and they discuss that he made a list of possible suspects for Venom's new host. Robbie says he actually came to see MJ. Paul says that she currently has an appointment. Robbie asks if she's running around as herself or as Jackpot, which surprises Paul. Robbie says he's covered every p...

All-New Venom # 4

By Mark Rodriguez The mystery continues to determine which one of the four suspects, Robbie Robertson, Rick Jones, Luke Cage or Madame Masque is the All-New Venom.  At a recent altercation at one of Masque's old hideouts, Chance shot Venom in the face, which rules out Luke Cage since he's bulletproof. Madam Masque herself was there, so that also rules her out. After getting away from Venom, we find out that Madam Masque is working with MODOK. The issue opens in North Brother Island, in a specialized prison for symbiotes, where Flash is feeding a symbiote named Toxin some chocolate and synthesized brain chemicals. Toxin asks how Bren is doing. Flash says he's at home where a kid his age should be, and he is safe. Toxin says he was safe with him. Flash asks if he remembers what happened to his last host. Toxin nonchalantly says he died. Toxin thanks Flash for the chocolate, saying if it were anyone else they'd let him starve. Flash says he's more of a trustee than ...

All-New Venom # 3

By Mark Rodriguez  The mystery continues to determine which one of the four suspects, Robbie Robertson, Rick Jones, Luke Cage or Madame Masque is the All-New Venom. When Doctor Fortissimo, his AIM soldiers and Chance gather at one of Madame Masque's known hideouts, Venom appears. Chance shoots Venom in the face, leaving a gaping hole. Dylan Brock is watching and says that rules out Luke Cage. What happens next? The story continues as Chance stares at Venom that has a huge bullet hole where his face should be. Chance says he made a bet with either Taskmaster or Black Ant on whether or not it was Luke Cage wearing the symbiote. They have a similar height and similar build and he figures Cage missed the hero life. If Venom was Cage, the bullet would have bounced off his head instead of going all the way through, so the human host must be shorter. Now he guesses it might really be Madame Masque under the symbiote.  Dylan watches through the window and says it might be Masque...

All-New Venom # 2

By Mark Rodriguez Madam Masque was on trial when members of AIM broke into the court room in battle suits with the intention of killing her. An All-New version of Venom came in and fought them off, making them retreat. It was noted that Luke Cage, Robbie Robertson and Rick Jones ran out during the fight and conveniently returned after Venom had left. Likewise, Madam Masque escaped during the commotion. Now Dylan Brock says Masque, Cage, Robertson or Jones has the Venom symbiote and he wants it back. Who is the All-New Venom? The issue opens at Times Square as Venom is standing in front of several huge ads, all conveniently showing Robertson advertising the Daily Bugle, Rick Jones promoting his book 'Sidekick', a wanted poster on Madame Masque and a poster showing how the mayor, Luke Cage keeps the city clean. A voice off-panel says that there are four possibilities here. The leader of the Death-Throws, Ringleader, says the first two options are they can beat him into paste, or...

All-New Venom # 1

By Mark Rodriguez This seems to be the new title after the Venom War ended. It might not be a mystery anymore with several issues already out, but that time the mystery of the first issue of this all new series is the identity of the Venom Symbiote. One thing for sure, it's not Eddie Brock.   We get a much needed recap that goes over how Spider-Man first got the symbiote and brought it to Earth. Once he discovered it was alive, he got rid of it, and it would eventually bond with Eddie Brock, turning him into Venom. Eddie eventually had a son with his ex wife Anne Weying named Dylan. Eventually Brock and Dylan would fight over control over the Venom symbiote, but the symbiote would choose neither. It went off to parts unknown, but the fall out of the Venom War left the city shaken and fearful over anything relating to symbiotes.  The story opens with guards watching over New York's latest symbiote. The woman is named Madame Masque and she is restrained and locked inside a...
