SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 6

By Mark Rodriguez The crazy story continues where various fighters from the Capcom and SNK series clash in Another World, a place one can only get there by dying. You can die up to three times in this world, with the final death being permanent. The prize is a wish to grant whatever the winner desires, who will win? For whatever reason Volume 6 of these manga compilations was costing over 100 for a good while, which is why my reviews on this story have stopped. It finally dropped in price so I grabbed it off Amazon quickly before it would jump back up to around 60 or so. I can assume there were only very few copies of Volume 6 printed for some reason. Anyways, let's continue.  The story continues after Kyo Kusanagi was unable to defeat Geese Howard and now finds himself in front of Goddess Athena. Athena explains to him that the world is governed by two forces, Cosmos and Chaos. These two constants have held the world in balance until now.  Back to Geese, a different ver...

My September 2020 Shirt Haul

By Mark Rodriguez If it's one thing that's come from quarantine and working from home due to the current pandemic, is having extra cash lying around. Money that would have been spent on transportation to and from work, as well as grabbing spare snacks here and there or grabbing a quick bite at some restaurant near work is now spare revenue. While a bit goes into savings, I've been spending a bit on shirts and Door Dash. So while I have stopped ordering 3-4 shirts in a single outing from ProWrestlingTees, I do still get a couple from the ProWrestlingCrate, Geek Fuel Box and elsewhere. So I decided to show off what shirts I've been getting every month, and hopefully the number goes down month by month, lol. Let's start with September.  Sept 3rd- Wyld Stallyns shirt (Geek Fuel Box) I got this awesome shirt from the Geek Fuel Box, which recently shifted . This month's theme was centered around the 80's so I got other cool things like a Ninja Turtles action figur...

Throwback Thursdays- Our Console Firsts (first game after buying game console)

By Mark Rodriguez It's always fun to remember the games we played in our childhood. It was a different time when most of our concerns were things like getting that high score, or racking up wins in a fighting game for bragging rights. Before rent, bills, filing taxes and adult life. So with this console I'm going to look back at what were the first games we bought for each console, not counting the one that already came with it. NES- Nintendo Entertainment System- TMNT II The Arcade Game The NES we bought came with 2 controllers, the NES Zapper and Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt 2-in-1 Game. Mario was a lot of fun and I remember my dad loved playing Duck Hunt. There wasn't much urgency to get a second game at the time since there were tons video rental stores and we could play stuff like Mega Man 2, Castlevania, Double Dragon and so forth when we needed a break from Mario. It wasn't until we got TMNT II The Arcade Game for Christmas that year that we had a blast. ...

Throwback Thursdays- Our Cosplay Collection (so far)

By Mark Rodriguez Johnny and I love anime cons, and we try our best to cosplay. Now we can't sew and can't afford super extravagant super detailed costumes and/or weapons, but I mean, we make do with what we have. While we don't exactly have a huge collection of Cosplay outfits, it's fun to look back and remember the cons of yesteryear, especially since this year Johnny finally got himself a different outfit. - 1 Cosplay Ever- Krillin and Android 17 from DBZ- Krillin is Goku's lifelong friend and possibly the strongest of the normal humans in the series. He would eventually marry Android 18. Android 17 was meant to be an evil Android set to kill Goku and wipe humanity but he was absorbed by Cell. He would mellow out since then. Oh wow, those were the days. I used to shave my head to Cosplay as Krillin. Well, the OG DBZ outfit of mine (which no longer exists) was basically an orange shirt we cut up to match the show and we had to buy orange fabric and cu...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 5

By Mark Rodriguez This crazy comic pits fighters from SNK and Capcom in a parallel world tournament, where the only way to enter is by dying in the real world. Due to Bison nuking the world, most everyone of note ended up there. You can die three times, with the third being fatal... and the winner of this tournament will have their one wish granted. The bad guys team up to take down the good guys. The good guys team up promising that if one of them does win in the end, to wish everything back to normal. Along the way, Ryu has lost his self confidence after his death at the hands of Sagat. Ryo Sakazaki offers to help, while Dan tags along. Elsewhere, Ken has emerged with a strong desire for power. Bison has his science team power him up, but Ken is so powerful he couldn't get brainwashed. In a battle to test his new skill, Ken kills Bison with a simple Hadouken!! Elsewhere, Geese Howard's overconfidence seems to be his undoing as he challenges all the good guys all at once. Terr...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 4

By Mark Rodriguez There's a parallel dimension tournament in which you have to die to enter. Once there you can be killed up to three times until you're gone for good, and as we just learned when Genjuro nearly killed Demitri, the more people you kill, the stronger you get. The last man standing gets their wish granted, no matter what it is. The heroes of Capcom and SNK teamed up and decided to take out all the bad guys. Since Bison destroyed the real world with a nuclear explosion, they all agree that if one of the heroes gets their wish, it would be to restore the world the way it should be. After having defeating Vega, Choi faces Red Arremer, who uses his powers to remove all of Kim Kaphwan's rehabilitation teachings, turning him evil once more, and at their service. Just then Ken steps into the scene, looking rather evil. What will happen? The story opens with Athena being worried that if one of the evil warriors were to win, they wouldn't wish for the real world to...
