AEW Women's World Championship Elimination Tournament 1 Round 1

By Mark Rodriguez So the new AEW Women's tournament is divided into brackets of Japan and America, with the Japanese bracket being shown on Youtube while the American bracket is shown on Dynamite. I'm a but confused how this works because as you'll see, the Japanese bracket has several matches all in one go and I assume Dynamite only showed one match. I guess we'll have to see. Now in this case due to the number of matches we're reviewing, I'll post mostly my thoughts on each rather than the play-by-play.  Match 1- US Bracket- Feb 10, 2021 (AEW Dynamite)- Legit Leyla Hirsch VS Thunder Rosa Pretty decent match, it was cool to see Thunder Rosa contend with someone that has as many technical submission moves as she does, and she even ate two of her German Suplexes. In the end Rosa powered through as Leyla tried to grab her in an armlock but Rosa picked her up with that same arm and slammed her down. Then she hit her with a power bomb and that was all she wrote.  I

AEW Dark 2/9/201 (Womens Matches)

By Mark Rodriguez It seems we have 3 women's matches in this episode. However we do have the AEW Women's Tournament coming up with features a lot of the same women we've been seeing here, so I'll be covering those matches. It seems they're separated between a Japan bracket and an American bracket and some of us feel a bit odd that the Japan bracket will be on Youtube while the American bracket will be on Dynamite, especially since we got a couple of Japanese big names that should be seen on TV. We'll see how that works out. First Match- Miranda Alize VS Nyla Rose (With Vickie Guerrero) Miranda ran in with a kick and then tried to get Nyla with an arm drag, but Nyla picked her up and slammed her down. Nyla effortlessly knocks Miranda down with a clothesline and then starts to stomp on her and clobber her. Nyla hits her with a splash but purposely gets off her to prevent a pin. She puts Miranda on the ropes and places her knee on her face. As the ref pulls Nyla b

NXT Dusty Rhodes Womens Tag Team Classic 2/3/2021 and 2/10/2021(Semi-Finals)

By Mark Rodriguez It's time to continue with the semi-finals to see who will be the two final tag teams to compete and win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at Takeover! First Match- Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez VS Kacy Cantazaro and Kayden Carter NXT Live February 3, 2021 Kacy and Dakota start out as they try to out-grapple each other, Kacy being the first to armdrag her opponent across the mat. Kacy goes for a headlock but Dakota drags her over to the ropes and sits her on top of the turnbuckle. As Dakota runs towards her, Kacy leaps off and hits her with a takedown. Kacy tags Kayden in who quickly trips Dakota down. Kacy holds onto her as Kayden comes in with a kick to the face. Kayden goes for the pin but Dakota kicks out. Dakota manages to grab Kayden and slam her down into a backbreaker. Raquel is tagged in and Kayden shows no fear over her larger opponent, smacking her in the chest. Raquel angrily knocks her down with a knee to the midsection. Raquel tries to pick her up

AEW Dark- 2/2/2021 Review (Women Matches)

By Mark Rodriguez It looks like we got five matches this time around. The only person I haven't seen in action yet is Leyla, so let's see how that match will go. Let's check it out as women like Tay Conti and Thunder Rosa continue to rise in the ranks.  Match 1- Tay Conti VS Tesha Price-  Both women try to grapple each other and Conti grabs Tesha in reverse headlock and arm lock, and then slams her backwards into the mat. Conti grabs Tesha's arms and does a Suplex Bridge, but Tesha pushes her off and tries to go for a traditional pin. Conti kicks out and Tesha runs at her with a flying kick that her opponent brushes aside. Conti tries to get her into another complex hold but Tesha runs her into the ringpost. Tesha does a cartwheel and then kicks and punches Conti while she's still up against the ringpost. Tesha takes time out to taunt Anna Jay, who is outside the ring and Conti grabs her hair and delivers a few forearms in her face. Tesha tries to kick her but Cont
