Uncharted Comic Series #5

By Mark Rodriguez (Originally written by Paige)

Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer are caught between Michael's group and a wall of eyes. What are they going to do now?

One of Michael's goonies gets killed in a mysterious way. Nate grabs the gun from the body and shoots towards the eyes. A figure attacks Nate, slashing his back. Chloe shoots at the figure, but it escapes. Chloe helps Nate walk and he two attempt to find a way out, but are confronted by Michael. He asks Nate where Rose is. The two don't know where she is, but Michael doesn't believe it. Chloe asks for a truce. Nate explains that they need to get back to the plane, but Michael refuses.

Suddenly, Rose appears shooting at a monster, the "Smokey Gods" maybe? She gets attacked and falls onto the ground. The monster gets shot  in the head stopping it before it kills the girl. Everyone is distracted with Rose, when another one of Michael's henchmen gets killed. Everyone runs, but before she follows, Chloe grabs a rocket launcher and uses it to prevent more Smokey Gods from coming through. Nate stops, stunned by what he sees.

It's Agartha. The civilization is empty of its people, probably murdered by the Smokey God creatures. Chloe and Nate find a piece of the technology, a flying machine that Byrd wrote about in his journal. Chloe takes a picture of the what they found. Nate assumes this is why she came along for the adventure. Chloe jokes and says she'll explain later when they're on a secluded beach. Nate is shot in the shoulder.

Chloe points her gun toward Doughty. Michael is ready to get his "revenge" for his family and ancestors. Nate tells him, that if he is killed, Sully will refuse to take him. Michael doesn't care, his mind too consumed by revenge.  Rose kicks away the gun from Chloe, and the two fight. Rose gives a cheap hit, smacking her against the wall.

Nate and Chloe are placed together and Michael is ready to kill them both. Nate tells them that they won't be able to get out, Michael has it all planned out. He believes he will get out, with his family avenged. No one notices that Rose is approaching the second sun. Michael tells her that they're going to leave. Nate realizes that there is lava behind the wall of diamonds; and that's how the diamonds glow. Rose is fascinated with the wall and her brother attempts to drag her away. But she refuses and shoots him. Chloe asks if this is the time to run, but Nate says that they're still stuck there. Rose grabs a piece of the wall, but the heat from it burns off her gloves. All of her family doubted her, but not now!

Now it's time for Chloe and Nate to run. The lava bursts through the wall consuming Rose and flows towards our heroes.

My Thoughts-

It looks like Rose has the obtained her ultimate goal, but with lava spilling everywhere, will that be her undoing? The story is literally heating up and we'll have to see how Nate and Chloe get out of this one. It's been a good story so far and I love the art that did a great job keeping the general look of the characters from the games.

As previously mentioned, this story concludes with the next one where Paige will be giving her full thoughts on it.

Dragonball- It's time to go beyond Z or end it

By Mark Rodriguez So while the Dragonball Super anime has ended for a few years now, and the Dragonball Super Broly movie is over a year old as well, the Dragonball Super manga has actually continued past the Tournament of Power and  Super Broly movie. As this new arc, nicknamed the Moro Arc after its main villain is coming to a close, the question is where do they do from here? Also before you get into this article, I really hope you know your DBZ because there are just waaaaaay too many characters to take the time out to explain who everyone is one by one. Dragonball and Dragonball Z is one of the longest running anime and manga series since the 80's and while it seemed it was put to pasture after Dragonball GT ended in 1997, the only thing left was for the American dubs to catch up. Despite this the love and nostalgia for the series lived on with videogames and the occasional special here and there that would bring back the characters (like the Yo, Son Goku and his Friends Retu

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi

Five Nights at Freddy's- How FNAF 2 Complicated the Lore

By Mark Rodriguez Five Nights at Freddy's.... a game series that started out by being a security guard trying to survive 5 nights at a pizzeria full of haunted animatronics that spawned lots of sequels. Now the latest one is looking like it's going to be about some of the animatronics actually trying to keep you safe from a serial killer that might have been brainwashed by a possessed VR game. What the hell? FNAF.... how it started and where it's going......  Here's a quick trip down memory lane over just how simple the story of FNAF seemed to be in the first game, and how the second game started the long path of the huge mess that we have now. Now when the first game came out back in 2014, creator Scott Cawthon had no way of knowing it would be a smash hit with lots of sequels. In fact, it was a bit of a last desperate attempt to make it in the gaming business. It's hard to believe nowadays, but had FNAF failed, Scott would have given up working on video games and
