Next Dragonball Arc could bring back Kid Buu *heavy Super Manga Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez

Alright, so the Brolly movie already come out in Japan but I will be avoiding any spoilers until I get to see it in the states, which sadly might be until it's out on DVD/Blu Ray since it won't be playing in my area. However, it seems we don't have to wait too long to see exactly what happens next in the world of Dragonball.

It seem the latest manga (which will take a while to translate into English) will end the Tournament of Power (though the finish will be a bit different from the anime) and continue on with the next saga. The next story takes place after the Brolly movie and might or might not be adapted whenever Dragonball returns to TV as either a new season of Super or with some other name.

The story will be about Jaco and the Galactic Patrol coming to Earth because they need Majin Buu. More specifically, they need the Dai Kaioshin for some reason, and for that they would have to remove him from Buu.

Now for those that remember Buu's backstory, the evil mage Bibidi created him centuries ago, and the first form of Buu was the maniacal Kid Buu. Kid Buu went around destroying everything under Bibidi's orders, which includes killing off some of the Kaiohshins. There were originally 4 Kaioshins, one for each quadrant, and the sole survivor of that incident (the one we see in the series) is the Eastern Kaiohshin.

Anyways, the Dai Kaioshin (no idea what the dub will call him) was above the four, and rather than outright kill him, Kid Buu chose to absorb him. As you know, whenever Buu absorbs someone, he gains some of their characteristics, so Kid Buu turned into Fat Buu which was more misguided than evil. Whenever Bibidi would lock Fat Buu in his cocoon, East Kaioshin took the chance to kill Bibidi. This would leave Buu locked away until centuries later when the mage's son Babidi would release him in the Buu saga.

So yes, sometime after the Brolly story, the Galactic Patrol come to Earth to take Buu, and even though Goku and Vegeta arrive to try to stop it... they are somehow taken out by laser guns (what is it with Super and laser guns taking down Saiyans?) This is when Jaco explains that they need Dai Kaioshin to capture a particular criminal.

The problem lies in the fact that if the Galactic Patrol somehow separate Dai Kaioshin from Fat Buu, this might bring back Kid Buu. While Kid Buu might not as powerful as Goku and Vegeta as Super Saiyan Blue, he is insane and will blow up planets left and right before he's stopped. Who knows, since Fat Buu trained for the Tournament of Power, some of that might transfer over to make Kid Buu powerful enough to hang with the Super Saiyan Blue. Or something else, since Super seems to be good to make characters like Freeza and Android 17 somehow become powerful enough to rival God Ki in the series.

This raises a lot of questions though, the main question being... is this the end of Fat Buu? I mean what will they do, contain Kid Buu until the mission is over? I mean.. I seriously doubt Dai Kaiohshin is going to want to go back to being absorbed by Buu after all is said and done. And with how powerful Goku and Vegeta are now... do they really need Dai Kaiohshin to catch a common criminal? Are there still criminals out there powerful enough to rival Freeza?

The sad fact is... no one seems to know what to do with Majin Buu which in my opinion is pretty stupid. He's a powerful fighter. Who cares if his personal story ended when he chose to live with Mr. Satan. So did many of the side characters and they still show up when new threats arrive. Why not have Buu enter both of the Super tournaments, or get involved in the Goku Black arc? The only scenes he had in Super that were worth a damn was his fight with Beerus to further hype up his power, and his win against Basil in the pre-fight expo, which was awesome cause it's about time that he did something. I know the guy takes naps at time but Super overdid it and used him napping (and being unable to be waken up) as a repeated excuse to keep excluding him from major fights.

Dragonball GT did a similar thing when Bebi killed him and his remnants fused with Uub. Again, there seems to be a theme where writers don't know what to do with Buu after his initial arc is over.

In GT, Buu fused with Uub, which served for a cool power up for the guy... but also meant that Buu was gone for good
We might have to say goodbye to our candy eating buddy, which is a real shame. Buu has unique moves and techniques that are different than just the usual energy blast and hair color change. Some include instant regeneration, turning things into candy, and ripping off parts of himself and attacking you with it. Plus, other than Piccolo (who also has interesting and unique techniques), it's nice having other super powered characters that aren't just Saiyans all the time.

I guess time will tell.

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more

Five Nights at Freddy's- How FNAF 2 Complicated the Lore

By Mark Rodriguez Five Nights at Freddy's.... a game series that started out by being a security guard trying to survive 5 nights at a pizzeria full of haunted animatronics that spawned lots of sequels. Now the latest one is looking like it's going to be about some of the animatronics actually trying to keep you safe from a serial killer that might have been brainwashed by a possessed VR game. What the hell? FNAF.... how it started and where it's going......  Here's a quick trip down memory lane over just how simple the story of FNAF seemed to be in the first game, and how the second game started the long path of the huge mess that we have now. Now when the first game came out back in 2014, creator Scott Cawthon had no way of knowing it would be a smash hit with lots of sequels. In fact, it was a bit of a last desperate attempt to make it in the gaming business. It's hard to believe nowadays, but had FNAF failed, Scott would have given up working on video games and
