Top Ten Most watched videos on the VGM09 Channel

By Mark Rodriguez

Like we mentioned before, our Youtube channel has the Video Game Masters show as the cornerstone, but we also do things like movie and comic reviews as well as occasionally mention news and updates related to gaming and other nerd-related hobbies. Here are the top ten most viewed videos as of 2026, excluding the VGM episodes since we already did a top ten on that. This gets pretty random, so let's check it out.

1- Mark Plays TMNT Legends- Out of the Shadows Mission

uploaded on Aug 31, 2016- 6,297 views

Mark tries to take on the Bay movie versions of Karai, Bebop and Rocksteady. Let's hope there aren't a lot of explosions.

So this is the most viewed video on the entire channel, a playthrough of the BayTurtles movie sequel-themed stages on a phone app game. The most surprising thing is, a decade later the game is STILL alive. It stopped getting updates years ago, since it was based on the 2012 show which ended 2017, but it's still there. You can still download it to your device at least as of 2026.

2- Heroes in a Halfcast- One of the Turtles died?? Part 1 ***Spoilers***

uploaded on Apr 21, 2015- 5,830 views

In part one of this podcast, we discuss the possible death of one of the Turtles in the current IDW comics. Mark breaks the news to Johnny to gather his live reaction.

We used to have a Ninja Turtles themed podcast based on the 2012 show. It would usually start with whatever TMNT news was happening at the time, our review of whichever episode we left off at, and a review on the newest most recently-aired episode at the time. In this one we discuss how Rocksteady bashed Donatello's shell in IDW TMNT # 44. While we doubted they would really permanently kill off Donatello, it was still pretty shocking. Plus it shows that despite how silly and dumb the IDW Bebop and Rocksteady were, they were more than willing to kill the Turtles, not just rough them up.

3- KING OF FIGHTERS XIV ANNOUNCED!!!!

uploaded on Sep 15, 2015- 3,351 views

It's like a dream come true, but yes, SNK Playmore finally officially announced that there will be a King of Fighter 14!!! Not even Moore can ruin Mark's mood as he shares his thoughts on this upcoming PS4 exclusive. Also more FNAF updates.

This was pretty much announcing that a KOF 14 was coming out which felt like a dream since KOF XIII came out back in 2011. It also ended the Ash Saga so it didn't end on some cliffhanger that would leave you expecting a new game soon. We haven't heard new KOF news in 4 years.

There was also an update on the FNAF website at the time. FNAF was believed to be over and there was a poster of all the characters at the time in a 'thank you for playing' type of thing. As time went on, some of the characters slowly started changing into chibi versions of themselves. This would eventually be a sneak preview for FNAF World.

4- Mark and Paige's thoughts on the TMNT Season 2 Finale Trailer

uploaded on  Jul 27, 2014- 2,767 views

The second season of the Nick version of TMNT is about to end, with an epic season finale!!! But.... is it truly awesome, or just more of what we've seen before?

For a while this one was the most watched video on the channel. We go into the end of season 2 trailer which shows a scene of Leonardo being thrown through a window which referenced that classic scene shown in the Mirage comics, the 2003 show and the first live-action movie (though they switched Leo for Raph). I assume we discussed the hell out of this on the podcast.

5- Diving Cutter Wrestling Podcast- AEW World's End 2025 Part 8

uploaded on  Jan 4, 2026- 2,632 views

The crew goes over their final thoughts of the World's End Pay Per View overall.

Wow, this is the newest video from earlier this year that somehow got a crapton of views and bumped itself up. The Diving Cutter Wrestling Podcast mostly covers AEW PPVs though sometimes they do Ring of Honor ones and the newer WWE PLEs. In this one Mark, Johnny, Wendy and Jack Knives go over their thoughts on the overall PPV after discussing each match in the previous seven parts.

6- Nick TMNT/80's TMNT Crossover March 27th!!!!

uploaded on Mar 7, 2016- 2,449 views

Yes, finally after having heard about this for so long, we FINALLY have a clip of what the crossover episode 'Transdimensional Turtles' will look like. Mark drops his thoughts.  Be sure to also drop yours!

Not much to say here except that after rumors and speculation, and an interview where Rob Paulsen said he recorded a scene of his 80's Raph talking to 2012 Donnie, we finally had confirmation that this crossover was really happening.

7- Transdimensional Turtles (80's/Nick TMNT crossover) review!! *spoilers*

uploaded on Mar 28, 2016- 2,188 views

Mark drops his thoughts on the epic crossover when the Nick TMNT team up with the 80's TMNT to defeat Krang and Kraang Sub-Prime. How was the episode and how does it compare to Turtles Forever?

So the next most viewed video after the announcement of the 80's/2012 TMNT crossover, was Mark's thoughts on the actual episode after it aired.

8- TMNT Requiem Episode Review!!! *Heavy Spoilers!!*

uploaded on Feb 19, 2017

The 4th season comes to a close as one of the main characters tragically dies!! Mark and Jupi give their thoughts, with heavy spoilers.

Not much to add here, except Jupi and I go over this episode which was leading up to the final battle to end Shredder once and for all. This seems to be part of a full podcast episode that would have been on Venka's channel, but that original video is now gone.

9- They added new DLC characters in Double Dragon Gaiden!!!

uploaded on Aug 13, 2025- 1,713 views

No trailer or nothing, just outta nowhere!! Super Anubis and Evil Marian were added to Double Dragon Gaiden this August 12th!!

At the time, we thought Double Dragon Gaiden was done but then suddenly new DLC characters were added. Super Anubis and Evil Marion were added, for free, though you did have to grind to unlock them with in-game currency. I'm confused as to why Arc Systems never released a trailer for this to this day. They would surprise us yet again this very February as they wrapped up the game (game) with Bimmy (a fused Billy and Jimmy), Jackson (Super Double Dragon boss), Jim Mackey (Willy's brother from DD3), and Armored Okada.

10- Is Dead or Alive 6's DLC Going way too Far???

uploaded on Feb 27, 2020- 1,161 views

Talk about nickles and dimes, now they want to charge for hair color? And charge you again every time you decide to switch back to the hair color you already paid for? What are Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja doing????

So yeah, this was the time they had the bright idea to charge you to change a character's color and then charge you again to change it back. Due to backlash they eventually walked it back. I would assume the new DOA 6 Last Round did away with that nonsense.

So these were the top ten most viewed videos so far on the channel, excluding the VGM videos as episodes 38 and 12 were among the top ten. While not exactly a Ninja Turtles channel, we did cover the 2012 show a lot back then as well as news and updates as the BayTurtles movie was around the corner. It does seem anything related to the Ninja Turtles gets a lot of views. While that sort of thing has died down, the Turtles still pop up since they have had some new games or collections as of late, like Shredder's Revenge and The Cowabunga Collection.

Unlike the VGM videos where the top ten seems to be mostly in the 2012-2013 era, the overall channel will sometimes get newer things as recent as this year like the Diving Cutter Podcast or the Double Dragon news that rise among the ranks of viewership. Youtube can be very unpredictable and it's hard to tell what will suddenly resonate a lot with fans.

Maybe we'll come back to this in a year or so. The way this looks, the next video made on literally anything (The Diving Cutter Podcast, the Review Sanctum, upcoming news on whatever) might work itself to the top ten.

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...

Beerus sees that it was his fault. On Zeno's planet, the two Zenos are playin...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...
