 By Mark Rodriguez

There's a championship series in NWA in which several wrestlers, men and female form Team Great and Team Fixer. We get an episode that is almost entirely women's matches and we see some familiar faces like Allysin Kay, Marti Bell and KiLynn King.

Match 1- Angelina Love (Team Great) VS KiLynn King (Team Fixers)

Both women start to grapple and KiLynn is the first to get Angelina in a headlock. Even though Angelina tries to punch her off, KiLynn stays locked onto her. KiLynn gets her in a headlock takedown. Angelina manages to wrap her legs around her neck and KiLynn flips to her feet to get out of it. Angelina gets her in a headlock but KiLynn picks her up. Angelina reverses this into a headlock takedown.

KiLynn now gets Angelina in a leglock, which makes her kick out. KiLynn runs at her but Angelina gets out of the way, letting her bump into the ringpost. Angelina tries to pick her up but KiLynn elbows her on the back of the head. KiLynn picks her up for a delayed vertical position, but Angelina pulls her down with a roll up pin. KiLynn kicks out.

Angelina socks her in the face. KiLynn manages to get her in the crossface, but Angelina gets her legs onto the boots. Angelina backs away and gets on the apron. KiLynn runs at her, hoping to knock her off, but Angelina hits her in the mid-section. Angelina grabs her and slams her face against the top turnbuckle. With KiLynn dazed, Angelina grabs her and drags her along to slam her face into the top turnbuckle on the other side of the ring. Angelina climbs onto the top turnbuckle and lands on KiLynn with a crossbody splash. She uses this as a pin but the Majesty of Muscle kicks out.

Angelina grabs KiLynn and slams her down with a neckbreaker. Angelina goes for the pin but she kicks out. She runs towards KiLynn, but she gets out of the way and kicks her in the midsection. KiLynn then runs and hits Angelina with a lariat. KiLynn grabs her and slams her with the Death Valley Driver and goes for the pin. Angelina kicks out. KiLynn is surprised.

The crowd cheers for the Majesty of Muscle and she manages to pick up Angelina. Angelina slips from her grasp and throws a kick but KiLynn catches her foot. KiLynn gets her back into the crossface, but Angelina manages to reverse it with the camel clutch. KiLynn manages to get her boots onto the ropes to break the hold.

As KiLynn gets back to her feet, Angelina runs towards her. KiLynn hits her with a back elbow. Angelina manages to grab KiLynn and slam her with the Lights Out. She then gets her into the camel clutch again. KiLynn fights the urge to tap and moves over so Angelina's shoulders are pinned. Angelina kicks out and KiLynn uses this split second to grab her in the crossface. KiLynn pulls Angelina's head back, making her tap out. KiLynn wins, scoring 6 points for Team Fixers.

Match 2- Missa Kate (Team Great) VS Marti Belle (Team Fixers)

Both woman start to grapple and Marti is the first to grab Missa in a side headlock takedown. Missa gets to her feet and tries to fight her way out of the hold, but Marti slams her back down with the side headlock. Missa finally gets her legs wrapped around Marti's neck to escape the hold. Marti kicks out of it and tries to get her back into the headlock. Missa gets hold of her wrist and Marti tries to break free. Marti manages to get control of Missa's arm and get her back into the headlock again. Missa shoves her up against the ropes. The ref has her Missa back away from Marti, when she suddenly spits her gum at her.

This sets Marti off and she runs up to her and hits her with a forearm to the face. She keeps hitting her until she gets Missa up against the ropes. Missa tries to break free from the barrage of forearm shots, but Marti grabs her and slams her with a Bulldog Slam. Marti then runs into her and knocks her down with a knee to the face. Marti goes for the pin but Missa kicks out.

Marti runs towards Miss, but is knocked back by her shoulder. Missa then grabs her and slams her face into the middle turnbuckle. Missa goes for the pin and Marti kicks out. Missa grabs her and tries to get her for a suplex, but Marti pulls her down for a roll up pin. Missa kicks out. Missa gets up and kicks Marti in the midsection. She hits her on the top of her head, knocking Marti down and then stomps on her. Missa sits her up and kicks her across the spine. Marti is rocked by that kick so Missa goes for the pin. She still manages to kick out. Missa grabs her and shoves her up against the ring post hard enough to make her bounce off and fall to the mat.

Missa grabs her and slams her face into the top turnbuckle and then hits her with a harsh chop to the chest. Marti hits her in the face and Missa fires back, knocking her back up against the ropes. She hits her in the midsection several times until the ref pulls her off. Miss runs at her but Marti gets out of the way and grabs her for a pin. Missa kicks out. Missa gets up and kicks her on the side of the head. Missa goes for the pin for Marti still manages to shove her off and break the count.

Missa wraps her legs around Marti's waist and starts hitting her across the back. Marti hits her with back elbows until she finally lets her go. Marti manages to get some distance from her opponent. Missa gets to her feet and Marti knocks her down with a clothesline. Marti knocks her down a second time and then hits her in the face. With Missa dazed, Marti grabs her and slams her with a facebuster and goes for the pin. Missa still kicks out.

Marti whips Missa towards the ropes and plans to kick her when she bounces back. Missa holds onto the ropes and slams the breaks. As Marti goes over to her, Missa kicks her in the face. Missa rolls Marti along the apron, and she stumbles out of the ring. Missa then runs at her and sends her crashing to the floor with a missile dropkick from behind. Missa goes after Marti, but she gets socked in the face when she tries to grab her.

Marti tries to get back into the ring but Missa pulls her back and hits her in the face. Missa gets into the ring to break the count and then rolls back out and starts trading blows with Marti. She then rolls back into the ring as the count continues against Marti. Marti tries to get back in the ring but doesn't make it on time. Missa Kate wins by count out. With this, Team Great has been eliminated and Team Fixers advances to Round Two.

Match 3- Madi & Samantha Starr (Team Brickhouse) vs Kayla Kassidy & Allysin Kay (Team Tyrus)

The match opens with Samantha and Kayla locking up, with Samantha taking control of Kayla's arm. Both women try to headlock each other until Kayla shoves Samantha towards the ropes. Samantha shoulder tackles her down. Samantha starts hitting her across the back and whips her towards the ropes, where Madi gets to yank on her hair. Samantha runs into Kayla with an elbow smash and Madi tags in.

Madi hits Kayla with a running elbow up against the ropes.  She then gets her in a snapmare followed with a necksnap. Madi grabs onto Kayla's wrist. Madi then slams her into a single leg takedown and tries to pin her. Kayla kicks out. As both women get up, Kayla knocks Madi down with a back kick. Rather than go for the pin, Kayla goes over to tag in Allysin saying she wants out. Allysin leaps off the apron to prevent getting tagged in. Madi grabs her in a roll up pin. Kayla kicks out and then kicks Madi in the midsection.

Kayla gets Madi up against the ropes and hits her with a chop to the chest. Tyrus is telling Allysin she needs to be more of a team player. Madi switches position with Kayla and starts hitting her with chops now. Madi gets Kayla in a snapmare and goes for the pin, but she can't keep her down.

Madi tries to pick her up but Kayla hits her with a jawbreaker. Kayla hits Madi in the face and tries to grab her, but her opponent reverses this and slams her into the mat. Madi then grabs her for a submission move but Kayla yanks her hair and gets disqualified. This awards a point to Team Brickhouse.

Allysin is in the match now and she knocks Madi down repeatedly with clotheslines. She then grabs her and slams her with a neakbreaker. Allysin whips Madi towards the ropes on her corner and runs into her with an elbow smash. Kayla taps Allysin on the back, tagging herself back in. There is some arguing over whether or not Kayla properly tagged Allysin and Samantha is tagged in. Samantha knocks Kayla down three times with running clotheslines and goes for the pin. Kayla kicks out.

Samantha whips Kayla into the ring post hard, and then follows up with the hip attack. Samantha gets Kayla into the snapmare and kicks her across the spine. She then wraps her legs around her neck and slams her face into the mat three time. She goes for the pin but Kayla survives. Kayla hits Samantha several times until she drops to her knees. She goes over to Allysin but doesn't tag her in. Allysin grabs her by the hair and slaps her across the back hard enough to down her down, which counts as a tag.

Allysin Kay knocks Samantha down with a running clothesline followed by a back elbow. Allysin grabs and slams Samantha down with a spine buster and then gets her in a standing Boston Crab submission move. Samantha is too far for a rope break but she manages to kick her off. Allysin stomps on her and gets her up against the ropes. She hits her with a harsh chop to the chest.

Allysin walks across the ring and then charges towards Samantha. Samantha gets out of the way, letting Allysin collide with the ring post and then hits her with a chop. She slams her with a running bulldog and goes for the pin. Allysin kicks out.

Samantha tries to grab Allysin, but gets shoved back towards the ring posts. Allysin hit her with elbows to the midsection and a chop to the chest. She then gets her to the other side of the ring and hits her with a running elbow. Samantha drops to the mat and Allysin goes for the pin but can't keep her down. Allysin gets behind Samantha and pulls her arms back across her neck, getting into a straight jacket type submission move. Meanwhile Kayla goes over and yanks on Madi's leg, making her fall and hit her face against the ring apron.

Allysin gets Samantha back in the Boston Crab while Madi and Kayla fight outside of the ring. With nowhere to go, Samantha tried to turn over and kick her away again, but Allysin tightens her grip and shoves her knee into her spine. With Samantha neither tapping out or passing out, the time limit has expired so the match ends in a tie. Both Team Tyrus and Team Brickhouse get awarded two points each which gets them tied 10 to 10.

The tie breaker was announced with alternates being placed. It was a match between Rolando Freeman for Team Tyrus and Jeremiah Plunkett for Team Brickhouse. Despite the massive size and weight difference, Rolando managed to win the match with a boot to the face he calls The Biggest Boot and a pin. Even Tyrus can't believe his team won thanks to Rolando, but now Team Brickhouse is out of the Champion Series.

Even Tyrus was like '....wut?'

My Thoughts-

This was a great series of matches, the Champion Series has all the different champs form their own teams of men and women and enter this tournament. It's the perfect chance to have a few episodes with several women matches at once, like this one.

KiLynn was amazing as always and Angelina put up a good fight. Too bad we didn't get to see the Excalibuster but it's cool that she's adding a crossface as a finisher for her matches. Angelina's alternate version of the Camel Clutch is pretty cool and painful looking too, so they both had good moves.

Marti VS Missa was a good match too, but I was surprised it actually ended in a count out. I don't see much of those types of endings. We see a lot of matches go outside the ring but it feels like no matter how long they spend throwing each other against the steel steps of barricade, they always get into the ring at the same time. I was surprised that Marti got into the ring but it was milliseconds too late.

Then we also had a tie during the main event. I did like seeing the friction between Allysin and Kayla, especially with Allysin giving Kayla the most painful tag ever, slapping her on the back hard enough to knock her down.

The fans got a bonus match due to the tie and the story played out that due to Rolando being the smaller and goofier wrestler, Team Tyrus was done for, but somehow he got the win. I'll be covering the rest of the Champion Series, at least the women's side of it. These are some great matches and everyone involved is giving it their all.

Dragonball- It's time to go beyond Z or end it

By Mark Rodriguez So while the Dragonball Super anime has ended for a few years now, and the Dragonball Super Broly movie is over a year old as well, the Dragonball Super manga has actually continued past the Tournament of Power and  Super Broly movie. As this new arc, nicknamed the Moro Arc after its main villain is coming to a close, the question is where do they do from here? Also before you get into this article, I really hope you know your DBZ because there are just waaaaaay too many characters to take the time out to explain who everyone is one by one. Dragonball and Dragonball Z is one of the longest running anime and manga series since the 80's and while it seemed it was put to pasture after Dragonball GT ended in 1997, the only thing left was for the American dubs to catch up. Despite this the love and nostalgia for the series lived on with videogames and the occasional special here and there that would bring back the characters (like the Yo, Son Goku and his Friends Retu

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi

Five Nights at Freddy's- How FNAF 2 Complicated the Lore

By Mark Rodriguez Five Nights at Freddy's.... a game series that started out by being a security guard trying to survive 5 nights at a pizzeria full of haunted animatronics that spawned lots of sequels. Now the latest one is looking like it's going to be about some of the animatronics actually trying to keep you safe from a serial killer that might have been brainwashed by a possessed VR game. What the hell? FNAF.... how it started and where it's going......  Here's a quick trip down memory lane over just how simple the story of FNAF seemed to be in the first game, and how the second game started the long path of the huge mess that we have now. Now when the first game came out back in 2014, creator Scott Cawthon had no way of knowing it would be a smash hit with lots of sequels. In fact, it was a bit of a last desperate attempt to make it in the gaming business. It's hard to believe nowadays, but had FNAF failed, Scott would have given up working on video games and
