Comic Book Haul 9/19/2026 Batman Day

So today was Batman Day, where most comic shops were giving away a free Batman comic along with a mask. You also get 10-20% any Batman or Batman related book (Detective, Batgirl, Nightwing, etc). We were in the mood to hit the town so we went to more than one Third Eye, Stories and Alpha Comics. Let's check out what we got.

 

Avengers Armageddon # 4- The story continues and we get a cool variant cover based on Marvel Tokon.

DC X Sonic the Hedgehog Metal Legion #  5- The second Sonic/DC crossover continues as Robotnik sided with the Legion of Doom.

Superman # 127- I was lucky enough to find some of these in the wild at one of the Third Eye locations. 

Superman # 134- Superman Blue and Superman Red team up alongside other heroes like the Flash and Martian Manhunter 

Superman # 135- Two stories in one, one featuring Superman Blue while the other sets the spotlight on Superman Red.

Batman of Two Worlds # 1- The OG Batman meets Absolute Batman!

Black Cat # 14- Black Cat... in space! Also, seems to be a tie-in to the Queen of Black story.

Barbara Gordon Breakout # 5- Barbara's adventure continues but is all this part of Vandal Savage's plan?


Detective Comics Annual- 2026- Lobo has been hired to capture Batman. What can Batman do against The Main Man who can usually go toe-to-toe with Superman? 

Tales of the TMNT Coastal Chaos # 1- The Turtles hit the beach and run into Armaggon. So the 80's series is about to end and this one got a second mini?

Spider-Man: Long Way Home # 3- Spider-Man, Punisher and the Hulk!

TMNT Journeys # 13- The Mirage Volume 4 reprints continues.

Hello Kitty and Friends- Hello World # 1- Wendy saw this and just had to grab it. 

 

Gargoyles # 1- We found this one in Stories to catch up since they are on issue 2 by now.

Gargoyles # 2- Found this one at Third Eye, so Wendy just had to grab it.

Masters of the Universe Genesis # 1- Similar case to Gargoyles, we were lucky to find the first issue at Stories to catch up since they are also on number 2.

Masters of the Universe Genesis # 2- Saw this one at Third Eye. Always love a MOTU series set in the classic setting.

 

So the free comic that came with any purchase of any Batman or Batman-related purchase was a copy of the Batman/Deadpool # 1 crossover. The free mask is either one based on the OG Batman or Absolute Batman. Since we went to two Third Eyes, we got two of them and they just so happened to get one of each mask. Batman Day has been around for several years and it's the the third Saturday of September. This time we finally got to hit the comic shops on Batman Day.

    Hope you review the Costal Chaos with its version of the mutant shark Armaggon. I too can’t wait for the final issue of SMA.

Dragonball Super manga Volume 5 (Chapter 28)

 By Mark Rodriguez The crew resumes regular life after the events of the Goku Black arc. Goku is living his regular life and working as a farmer. Vegeta is training with Whis and learning to contain the Super Saiyan Blue within himself similar to what Goku did earlier. Bulma is now pregnant with her second child. Goku remembers the Universal Tournament that Zeno, the Lord of Everything, wanted to do someday. Despite the warnings of how dangerous and unpredictable Zeno Sama can be, Goku activates the button he was given and is warped away to see him. What will happen now? SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play.
