Comic Book Stash (Part 2) 5/2/2026

 By Mark Rodriguez

The last time we went over the comics we got as part of the Free Comic Book Day promotion. Now we take a look at the regular pullbox comics we got from Third Eye and Alpha Comics. Let's check it out.

Spider-Man and Superman # 1- The Marvel and DC crossover continues. Similar to the Deadpool/Batman one, we first had Superman and Spider-Man and now we're having it the other way around.

Web of Venom # 1- Another symbiote has appeared, but this is not the current MJ Venom. Who is this guy?

Venom # 256-  The Death Spiral story continues! This is Part 6.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 27- Part 8 of the Death Spiral story as Carnage takes center stage!

Venom # 257- Part 9 of the Death Spiral story.

Logan Black, White & Blood # 4- More stories of Logan throughout different points of his long bloody life.

Tomb Raider Sacred Treasures # 4- The fourth part of this mini-series. Hopefully she'll get more to come! Or an ongoing?

Batgirl # 18- Cassandra's adventures continue.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures # 36- Krang is sick and Bebop reads him a bedtime story....

Batman # 8- Vandal Savage and Poison Ivy? How will this bode for the city?

Sai Dimensional Rivals # 4- The final part of this 4-issue mini starring the Marvel Rivals version of Psylocke.

All-New Spider-Gwen Ghost Spider # 9- The fight continues between the Spider-powered Gwen Stacy against her Green Goblin counterpart.

Black Cat # 9- Felicia's adventures continue.

Those were the books we got from our regular pullboxes. There was supposed to be a new Jubilee mini-series coming out this week, but it sounds like it was pushed back to next week. That made sense after I thought it was weird that both Third Eye and Black Dog Comics didn't have it.

We didn't get anything from the sidewalk sale. At that point Alpha Comics was the last stop of the day and enough money had been spent on comics and other goodies. Plus I wasn't ready for so many comics in the pullbox (the Spider-Man and Venom ones mostly).

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
