Comic Book Stash 5/30/2026

 By Mark Rodriguez

We finally hit up Third Eye after going all the separate Saturdays to get our free graphic novels. The choice we got was very unexpected but nostalgic. A bunch of comics I ordered also came in the mail at just the right time. So let's check out what we got!

The Amazing Spider-Man # 334- I'm collecting the issues of the Return of the Sinister Six story line. This part one and it looks like Spidey has a run in with Electro to kick things off.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 338- Part five of the Return of the Sinister Six story as an all about battle royale breaks out.

Psylocke Ninja # 5- The story continues as we go into Betsy's first adventures in Kwannon's body.

Batman Hush 2 # 163- After many delays, we finally get the conclusion to Batman Hush 2... part one!! When will part two comes out? Who knows!!

Superman # 129-  I continue to collect the adventures of Superman during his Electric Blue era!

Superman # 130- Superman Blue's adventures continue!!

Venom Lethal Protector # 2- I got a reprint of the first one thanks to a previous Free Comic Book Day. Now I got the second issue to continue the story I once owned as a kid.

Venom Lethal Protector # 3- Was able to get this one at a low price at a live Hipcomic auction. For some reason issue 3 seems rarer and more expensive to purchase online so I was lucky enough to get this one for a few bucks.

So for this week we only got two comics that were actually in the pullbox while the rest came in the mail. from Hipcomic. There were several graphic novels spread across a table, but in the end we decided to go for something unexpected and nostalgic. We found three graphic novels that are pretty much collections of the classic Peanuts newspaper strips, with a sports theme. We grabbed one each. Of course we won't be able to review these, but this is what we got for this year's Free Comic Book Month!

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
