Comic Book Haul 8/30/2026

This time around I got some stuff in the mail as I'm filling in the gaps of some comics that I somehow missed the first time around.  We also swung by Alpha Comics to grab the latest issue of TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures as we get one issue away from the end.

 

I'm trying to collect the issues from the Superman Electric Blue run from the late 90's. These three were shortly before, when Superman's powers were acting up which would lead into the transformation.

Action Comics # 732- Superman faces off against the Atomic Skull.

Superman The Man of Steel # 67- Superman continues to save the day as his powers start acting up.

Adventures of Superman # 545-  Superman's new powers start to manifest.

The Uncanny X-Men # 177- Wolverine takes center stage, which very rarely happened in the 80's.

The Uncanny X-Men # 178- The X-Men face the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants!

X-Men '97 # 4- The last issue of the four-issue mini-series which was a prelude to the, at-the-time, upcoming new show. Now I have all four issues!

 

Spider-Man Brand New Day # 4- The Punisher and Kingpin with Spidey caught in the middle.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures # 40- The semi-final issue of the series. Metalhead goes haywire and Mondo Gecko calls the Turtles for help. Other villains are up to something while the Turtles are busy.

Avengers/JLA # 4- The final part of the classic reprint of the team up between Marvel and DC's top heroes.

Spider-Man and the Hulk- Fire and Brimstone # 1- Let's see what this is about.

Gambit- Wanted # 2- Gambit is being hunted down and now Bull's Eye is after him. Can the ragin' Canjun handle him, and who hired him to begin with? 

So that's the overall haul this weekend. When Wendy found out that the second issue of Gambit is out, we just had to run out to Alpha to grab it. We'll see what we get next time as the missing issue of Mega Man X is on its way and we also count down to the final issue of our favorite TMNT series.

I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Dragonball Super manga Volume 5 (Chapter 28)

 By Mark Rodriguez The crew resumes regular life after the events of the Goku Black arc. Goku is living his regular life and working as a farmer. Vegeta is training with Whis and learning to contain the Super Saiyan Blue within himself similar to what Goku did earlier. Bulma is now pregnant with her second child. Goku remembers the Universal Tournament that Zeno, the Lord of Everything, wanted to do someday. Despite the warnings of how dangerous and unpredictable Zeno Sama can be, Goku activates the button he was given and is warped away to see him. What will happen now? Chapter 28- The Gods of Destruction from all 12 Universes On Beerus' planet, the Oracle Fish asks where Goku went. Lord Whis tells him that he want to see Zeno Sama. SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play.
