First look at live action Sonic the Hedgehog design movie is horrifying

By Mark Rodriguez

Oh man oh man... I don't usually make short random reaction blogs... but in this case how can  I not?

I heard rumors of a live action Sonic movie for a while now. SEGA and Sony are teaming up for this one. As far as I can tell the plot will involve Sonic coming to our world and work alongside a cop (James Marsden) to stop Doctor Robotnik (Eggman), who will be played by Jim Carrey. Yikes.

To top it off, we finally get a look at Sonic's silhouette in the movie teaser poster.

Just... good god!! The more realistic body proportions make him look like a regular person with an oversized Sonic mask on. What were they thinking???

I imagine Sonic was going to be CGI, why not just use the classic design with more realistic fur detail or something. At this point I wonder if they'll even keep Sonic's bizzare eyeballs, I think it would go way too far if they gave him regular eyes.

It's too soon to say anything, as this movie won't come out til the end of next year, but so far this is looking like the thing of nightmares. I'll just let the picture speak for itself.

Let's hope the movie has a decent story at least to make it entertaining. I'm not expecting a masterpiece out of this (especially since the movie really should have taken place on Sonic's world and not ours), but let's hope it's at least somewhat enjoyable....

Edit- it sounds like the producers are a little too concerned with grounding the talking blue hedgehog. This includes him learning to increase his speed as the movie progresses but also changing the way his eyes look to make him more realistic. We have yet to see how they'll make his eyes look but it won't be the classic and weird one big eye with two pupils like in the games.

Second edit- I kinda don't want to make a second article on this. This poster has been seen in some theaters.

Some people might claim it's fake, mostly because we just can't believe the movie makers are really going with this, but those all-too realistic human legs do match up with the first poster....

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...
