Comic Book Haul 10/21/2026

It feels good to hit the comic shop on a Wednesday. We got a lot cool stuff this time around, as well as one issue I somehow missed last month. 

 

Miles Morales Spider-Man # 2- Somehow missed it the first time around. Things heat up as this time the new enemy is after Miles' father instead of Spider-Man.

Miles Morales Spider-Man # 3- The story continues as the villain isn't just deadly, he also affects Miles' powers. 

The Amazing Spider-Man Halloween Special- Hallow's Eve is out causing trouble, and Spider-Man gets a new costume? This should be a fun one-shot.

Venom # 1- Another re-numbering. After being with MJ for so long, the Venom symbiote is finally back with good ol' Eddie Brock!

The Punisher Showdowns: Black Widow- The Punisher has several run-ins with different Marvel characters starting with the Black Widow. How could I not get this one? 

Masters of the Universe # 4- The Wings of Fate- How many new MOTU comics is Dark Horse making? And this one is based on the 2026 movie universe too. 

Street Fighter Masters- Chun Li VS Cammy- A story that goes across several encounters between the two main ladies of Street Fighter, going from Alpha, SF2 and SF6. 

Avengers Armageddon # 5- The big event where Marvel claims 'there will be a before and after'. I'm sure I missed an issue somewhere. 


Barbara Gordon Breakout # 6- Things get more complicated as now Two-Face is involved. Also, Babs has been accused of murder! 

Black Cat # 15- Black Cat swindles Spider-Man? Must be a day that ends in Y. 

This time around I decided to grab that copy of SF Masters just in the off chance that Alpha Comics didn't get it. I really hope this new MOTU is number 4 after the previous Master genesis story and not yet another series altogether. I have no idea how I missed the Miles issue but now I'm up to date. So far ol' Third Eye still has not rebuilt the section that used to store all the manga and figures. We'll see if they can get that up and running before year's end.

    Hallow’s Eve recently appeared with Jack O Lantern in a new Halloween special from Disney Junior Spidey and the Avengers Halloween Team Up. Her first appearance outside of comics with the voice of Este Haim.

Dragonball Super manga Volume 5 (Chapter 28)

 By Mark Rodriguez The crew resumes regular life after the events of the Goku Black arc. Goku is living his regular life and working as a farmer. Vegeta is training with Whis and learning to contain the Super Saiyan Blue within himself similar to what Goku did earlier. Bulma is now pregnant with her second child. Goku remembers the Universal Tournament that Zeno, the Lord of Everything, wanted to do someday. Despite the warnings of how dangerous and unpredictable Zeno Sama can be, Goku activates the button he was given and is warped away to see him. What will happen now? Chapter 28- The Gods of Destruction from all 12 Universes On Beerus' planet, the Oracle Fish asks where Goku went. Lord Whis tells him that he want to see Zeno Sama. SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play.
