We got to check out Third Eye Comics as they celebrated what they call Spring Slamboree. Everything in the store was 15% off, manga was 50% off and there were boxes full of comics for a dollar. I also got some of the comics I either lost or missed out on the first time around, so let's check them out.
Thundercats X Silverhawks Road to War # 1- Two of my favorite 80's shows clashing. I guess they're going to go to war against each other?
Black Cat # 8- Black Cat teams up with the All-New Venom, which as we know, is her old pal MJ!
Eddie Brock Carnage # 5- Somehow missed this one the first time around, to Third Eye ordered the back issue for me.
Eddie Brock Carnage # 6- Same deal as issue 5. Now I own the full run.
Logan Black, White & Blood # 3- Different tales of Logan through different points of his long life, all in black and white and blood red.
Venom # 255- Venom and Spider-Man work together as they take on Death Spiral.
Jennifer Blood # 1- First issue of this indie series from Dynamite comics. It was in the dollar box, but why not?
Ninjettes # 1- Coming from the pages of Jennifer Blood. Also in the dollar box.
Final Fight # 2 and 3- I had to rebuy these since they somehow got lost during the move to the new house. Issue 4 was sold out, so I ordered a copy separately and should be here in time for the next comic book stash.
The Amazing Spider-Man # 339- The final chapter of the classic Return of the Sinister Six storyline from the 1990. I got it at a good price during a Hipcomic live auction. I'll eventually find the other issues I'm sure.
The Adventures of Superman # 552- I was always curious of Superman's adventures during his 'Superman Blue' era. I found this one during a Hipcomic live auction.
Action Comics # 733- More adventures of Superman Blue, this time working alongside The Ray.
As for manga, I also grabbed the second volume of Spy X Family and the 5th volume of Parasyte. While Spy X Family is rather new and lots of copies are still available, Parasyte is a little harder to find. I have the first two volumes so I'm sure I'll find volumes 3 and 4 down the line.
Overall it was a fun day at Third Eye Comics and as an extra treat Wendy also brought her mom along. This was the first time she ever set foot in a comic store.
