Comic Book Stash 12/13/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

This time we hit up Alpha Comics and Games for our comics. As you might know from previous entries these are other comics besides the usual Marvel and DC fare. I also got 3 comics in the mail just today, so that's good luck and timing!

Batman/Deadpool # 1- First we had the unexpected and surprising Deadpool/Batman crossover, so now we have the Batman/Crossover one that will feature several Marvel/DC crossover goodness.

Street Fighter Masters- Zangief # 1- We finally get the next book in the Street Fighter Masters line. With constant delays and order-switching with the Udon comics, it seems Zangief beat both Guile and Elena to the punch.

Tales of the TMNT # 2- Donatello's summer camp adventure continues as he teams up with Metalhead to stop Bishop's plans. This comic is going to be a mini-series, so I might as well.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures # 31- The Mutagen Man story continues. The Turtles will have to deal with him, as well as Shredder and the Pantheon.

Teen Titans (2007 run) # 13- It seems this takes place during a time several heroes fight each other. This one features Stephanie Brown Robin VS Superboy. I'm collecting the very few comics that featured Steph as Robin before all the Gang War stuff happened.

Tomb Raider # 19- I was checking on what issues I owned as I am gathering my collection and it seems the C-C-Combo Breaker ends after issue 18. Thanks to Hipcomic, I now own issue 19. The next issue I own was issue 36, so I'll eventually hunt down issues 20-35.

X-Men 97 # 2- I got the first issue as a reprint as part of this year's Trick or Read, and I was able to find the second issue of this 4-issue mini-series. It's takes place between the end of the original 90's cartoon series and before the start of the Netflix continuation series.

X-Men 97 # 2 Review

And so those are the issues we got today, either from the comic shop or in the mail thanks to Hipcomic. I was caught off guard when I was told there was a new Street Fighter book in my pullbox. I'm not sure what's going on with Udon comics. They first release the MegaMan ZX comic before the MegaMan X comic. Now they released the Zangief comic before the Guile and Elena comic... especially since the Elena comic was supposed to come out around the time the Elena DLC for Street Fighter 6 would have been out. What's up Udon?

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
