DOA 6 Last Round DLC Road Map

 By Mark Rodriguez

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is already out and a lot of people (I assume the ones that bought the first game) are not happy. Other than different-colored life bars and new lighting for one stage, it is literally the same game as before. Those that still didn't get the memo were angry that they had to pay for Mai and Kula, the SNK guest characters, a second time. Like I said before, you can just download your previously purchased copy of DOA6 onto your PS5 and you pretty much already own Last Round.

Even worse news comes to PC gamers, as the original DOA6 is now de-listed and it sounds like none of the previous DLC outfits will transfer over. So while the console gamers can transfer over the swimsuit, maid, pirate and schoolgirl outfits over to Last Round just fine.... PC gamers are stuck having to re-buy every last costume all... over... again. Considering they probably spent quite a bit the first time around, it's costly to double-dip.

So we finally got some news their DLC road map and it's... pretty odd. So it looks like for the month of July, certain characters will be getting some new DLC costumes, starting with Marie Rose. Helena's Wicked Lil' Servant gets four new costumes. at $7.99 each or $20.99 for all four in a bundle. Unfortunately, a closer look shows the four costumes are all the same but in different colors. So 21 dollars for one costume with different color variations?

The following weeks will bring in costume bundles for Kasumi, NiCO and Tamaki, presumably at $20.99 for the set and $7.99 individually. Ayane and Honoka were also promised new costumes when the game was first announced, so I assume they'll be released in August.

So let's do some math. The game itself costs $39.99. If you want Mai and Kula, and you chose to purchase them with their costume sets at $20.99 each, that's already $81.97 you're putting down. If you want to add the Marie Rose, Kasumi, NiCO and Tamaki bundles at $20.99 each, you'll be spending $165.93 for the month of July. That's about as much as the original game costing 60 bucks and the first season's pass costing around 100 bucks. Dead or Alive is just a damn expensive game, especially for those that must simply own everything for completionist sake.

I guess the real question here is if they're going to do actual season's passes or if they'll be doing a weekly or monthly costume release? So far Koei Tecmo promised new costumes for these four women, as well as Ayane and Honoka, and an all-new character, Minato. Maybe once they're done with the costume bundles, Minato will be released as part of the first season?

For comparison's sake, the first season pass for the original DOA6 included wedding costumes, pirate costumes, bonus costumes for NiCO and Nyotengu, and Mai and Kula with their additional costumes. I wonder if Minato will spearhead the first season alongside new costumes for some other characters.... or if they'll retroactively make a mega-bundle of the four (or six) costume sets alongside Minato and call that Season one? So far it's too soon to tell. We'll have to see if they will throw in the Ayane and Honoka costume bundles once July's plan is done. Hopefully we'll also get a release date for Minato soon. I'll do my best to keep you guys updated. I have no idea why, out of all fighting games, I decided to keep tabs on Dead or Alive's DLC, but it's been a fun ride so far.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
