Comic Book Stash 4/15/2026

 By Mark Rodriguez

This time we got a few comics from Third Eye and Alpha Comics, but a lot of it was catching up on older and missed titles. It turns out I waited one week too long to grab the last two issues of the Carnage series, so I had to go to HipComics.

Captain Marvel Dark Past # 1- Carol Danvers realizes she never got all her memories back from her incident with Rogue several years prior. What do these new memories mean, and how will Carol figure things out when she can't tell the difference between new memories and visions from the future?

Captain Marvel Dark Past # 1 Review

The New Ms. Marvel # 20- A reprint from a classic comic as Carol faces off against lizard men.

Venom # 254- It turns out even though the comic went from 'The All-New Venom' back to the regular title, the MJ Venom adventures continue. I'll be buying the missing issues in between All-New and the regular title since there aren't that many.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 26- The Death Spiral story continues!

Eddie Brock Carnage # 9- Eddie continues to fight off Carnage's killer impulses as both their lives are on the line.

Eddie Brock Carnage # 10- The finale to this series, though his adventures continue as a member of The New Avengers, for as long as that run lasted anyway.

Batman # 448- I hit up the Hipcomic 99-cent live auction for some of the missing gaps in my old 90's comic collection. This is a 3-part story where Parts 1 and 3 are in Batman comics while part 2 was in Detective comics. I already own the Detective one.

Batman # 449- Part three of the Penguin affair. Will Batman be able to stop Penguin's plans as they come to fruition?

Batman # 460- This is part of the 90's run, and Catwoman is on the cover. That's all I need to know.

So that's our haul for now. I accidentally bought the last issue of the Batman Dark Knight Dark City story that features the Riddler. I did find the first two though and should be getting them soon. I also grabbed several Detective Comics issues from the 90's to fill in more gaps.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
