1000 posts!!!

 By Mark Rodriguez

So we finally made it to 1000 posts! Thanks for reading my random reviews that range from modern day comics to older classics, mainstream and indies.

A lot has changed since the old blog started. A lot of if was moving to a new location which would lead to me getting married and eventually getting a house. I was glad to be able to return to Vegas to meet the old gang. Johnny visits me once a year no matter where I live, but I haven't been over to see the rest of the crew since 2019. Had I known, I would have visited that February, one month before the pandemic would hit and change everything.

Another semi-recent change was also discovering Hipcomic and being able to find and purchase several old comics I used to read as a kid in the late 80's/early 90's. I also found more issues of the Top Cow Tomb Raider comics and also completed the Power Girl run. On other news, we finally got a PS5 (before the price would go up even higher) and thanks to the return of AJ Lee, we also got back into WWE. Somewhat. The fact that those 'Premium Live Events' are free since we own that Disney Plus/ESPN package helps a lot.

Here's to another 1000 posts! What other comics, games or whatever else will we review next? Will I ever complete the full Top Cow Tomb Raider run? Will Hipcomic continue to get a third of my paycheck? Will Wendy and I personally pay the Third Eye girls' way through college? We'll find out together!!

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
