Comic Book Stash 8/31/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

This tine we swung on by to Alpha Comics to grab two comics and three new ones from Third Eye. I'll be checking on the pullbox later on since this was just a quick run. Let's check out what we got.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures Continued # 28

The Pantheon members have started a contest to see which one of them can take out the Turtles with the winner taking the leadership from Hob. Drako had tried and failed, so now it's Golgotha's turn.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures Continued # 28 Review

Mega Man Zero Z Timelines # 1

The Mega Man Timelines one-shots continue, this time dealing with the Mega Man Zero Z series.

Black Cat # 1

The Black Cat is back!. Let's see what adventures she runs into as she starts a brand new series.

All-New Spider Gwen Ghost Spider # 1

Ghost Spider starts a new adventure as this time she is permanently in the main 616 Marvel Universe. How will she fit into her new reality?

Venom Black, White and Blood # 1

A new series of different short stories from different eras in Venom's life. Just like the title says, the stories will be colored only in black, white and red, which we hope isn't the writer's blood.

We'll be swinging on by some time next week to get the 20 or so books that are probably flooding the pullbox. I also found out that the Street Fighter Masters Elena book was pushed all the way back to October. I'm not sure what happened. First the next book was supposed to be about Guile. Then the Elena one was put in first, presumably close to the time she was released as DLC for Street Fighter 6, and now it's delayed yet again. I'm also confused about the next Mega Man Timelines one-shot being about Zero rather than Mega Man X. I wonder what's going on over at Udon Comics.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
