Comic Book Stash 8/10/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

So... we've been too busy dealing with getting a new house and getting married (as well as getting a new pullbox over at Alpha Comics for our Ninja Turtles needs) so we haven't been to Third Eye in a while. Now that we found some time to make a visit... we got quite a haul racked up. This might be the biggest haul since Free Comic Book Day. On top of that some comics needed to get re-bought as they were lost in the move. Let's see what we got.

DCU X Sonic the Hedgehog # 5 - The crossover continue was the Justice League team up with Sonic and his buddies to take down Darkseid.

Spider-Man & Wolverine # 3- After the cliffhanger of the last issue.... how exactly is Spider-Man still here?

West Coast Avengers # 9- Based on the cover it looks like Iron Man has seen better days.

Batman # 161 Hush 2- The story continues as Batgirl gets involved.

All-New Venom # 9- Venom and friends have to go against S.C.A.R. and Doc Ock.

(The Haunting of) Gwenpool # 3- Gwenpool might be dead, but it looks like her ghost still linger as she helps Spider-Man avenge herself.

(The Unaliveable) Gwenpool # 4- Gwenpool's ghost continues to try to help Spider-Man stop the evil Gwen Stacy.

Batgirl # 9- The adventure continues and I'll eventually get around to this one.

Superior Avengers # 5- It looks like love is in the air, but how will that affect their mission?

Batgirl # 10- Same as before, I'll get into this.

Psyclocke # 9- Will also get into this one soon.

Thundercats # 17- So many comics, so little time.

Some how, some way, some comics were lost during the move, and that includes the first three issues of Superior Avengers. Luckily Third Eye had several copies left so I was able to scoop them up and save a few extra bucks from shipping fees had I bought them online. A few other comics were lost, but I'll bring those up as I get to them.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
