Comic Book Stash 4/26/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

This time around we only had three comics in our pullbox. However there are two comics we need to hunt down, namely that Street Fighter Masters Guile comic and the latest issue of TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures. It's Free Comic Book Day next week though, so we'll see.

Thundercats # 14

I'll eventually get into this one. I'm gonna have to binge-read these.

Eddie Brock Carnage # 3

I'll catch up on this one, but based on the cover it looks like Eddie Carnage is going after the Punisher villain, the Bushwhacker.

Batman # 159

Hush has returned to Gotham, and he tortured the Joker to the brink of death. It looks like Batman has to decide whether or not to save the Joker as he lays dying... but now Jason Todd got involved.. and we all know how he feels about the Joker, don't we?

Batman # 159 Hush 2 Review

Clearly the Batman Hush story is the big one this week. They got the regular cover and this shinier foil cover. On top of that they got giant-sized versions of the comic, both the regular and foil covers. They look cool but I wouldn't know where to properly store it if I bought one. It sure won't fit in any of my longboxes.

Next week is Free Comic Book Day where we'll be hitting all the comic shops. Let's see what goodies we'll find and if I can get any of the books we couldn't get this time around.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...
