Batman & Robin (The New 52) # 6

By Mark Rodriguez

Nobody and Damian team up, as the former tries to bring out the killer instinct of the latter. They bust into the Embassy where an Ambassador was guilty of human trafficking. Now with the Ambassador on his knees, Nobody hands Robin a gun to have him finish the job.

This is awesome... but too bad it never happens
Robin is faced with having to shoot a guy in the head to prove himself to Nobody, and he pulls the trigger. Lucky for the corrupt ambassador, the gun was empty. Robin is angry for being toyed with, and Nobody said he wanted to see how committed he is. He then tells Robin to use that deadly move that Nobody used on him earlier.. the one where you jab your fingers between the person’s eyes that leaves him incapacitated. Robin is worried since once wrong move can kill the man, but he pulls it off perfectly.

Alfred sends Batman information that Robin was spotted at the Embassy. He shows up and finds the guards still alive. Back to his flashback which he is recording for Damian… Bruce trains alongside Henri and Morgan as they track down a terrorist named Hassan. They finally track him down to a building. Morgan says Interpol was notified and Henri heads out as Bruce keeps watch. When Bruce tells Henri that Hassan is near the door’s peephole… Henri shoots the terrorist in the head.

Bruce is enraged to find out that were sent to hunt and kill Hassan, not just capture him. He leaves angrily, and Henri sends Morgan to take care of him. Later that night, Bruce barely misses being sniped by Morgan. As Morgan leaves thinking Bruce was dead… a cinder block smashes into the front window of his car. Bruce Wayne appears, and he’s out for blood. Like a savage beast, Bruce beats the living crap out of Morgan, but stops himself before delivering the killing blow. Later that night, he tosses Morgan’s body through the window of Henri’s hideout.

Back to the present, Gordon is watching the cops investigate what happened at the Embassy. Batman asks him to give him two hours to find the ambassador, since this is personal. Gordon gives him one.
At the Gotham Harbor, Nobody used a truth serum to get all the names and addresses from the ambassador’s human trafficking operation. Nobody starts to tell Damian about when Bruce almost killed him, but he thinks he wanted Bruce to take his place as Henri’s son. As they talk, the ambassador is about to be dumped into a vat of acid. What is it with this guy and the huge vats of acid? Where does he even get all of it from?
Damian attacks Nobody and gets taken down. A GPS signal in Robin’s ‘R’ emblem gives Batman his location. Nobody notices this and is surprised he was betrayed, even when he was quick to pull the trigger on the ambassador before. Damian said the weight of the gun was off and he knew it wouldn’t fire. This was all Damian’s plan, and he used his real-life problems with his father to convince Morgan and trick him. Why the betrayal? Because he's Batman's son!!

However, Nobody is pissed. He uses the ‘R’ emblem as a two-way radio so that Batman can now hear how he’ll break his son. Batman is, of course, violently pissed.

My Opinions

The story heats up as we see more of Bruce's past with Morgan, which lead to Bruce beating the living crap out of him in anger. It seems he was darker than when he was Batman.

As for Damian, we see he pretending all along and finally called his play. I have to say it was awfully convenient of Damian that Morgan was using an unloaded gun to test his loyalty. I mean, what was he going to do had Morgan just used a loaded gun? Would he have dropped his ruse so quickly? Also... the R on his Robin costume has a GPS and is also a two way radio? What?

However Damian's plan backfire violently and now Morgan will torture the kid as Batman can only listen as he miles away. Morgan is just twisted in his methods, I guess, to fight crime. He's the kinda guy that thinks the ends justify the means, no matter what.... but also just wants cold blooded revenge against Bruce. The story is intense and I can't wait to see how this ends.

Oh... and of course, that epic and dynamic cover of Batman and Robin fighting each other to the death... yeah, that never happened.

Dragonball- It's time to go beyond Z or end it

By Mark Rodriguez So while the Dragonball Super anime has ended for a few years now, and the Dragonball Super Broly movie is over a year old as well, the Dragonball Super manga has actually continued past the Tournament of Power and  Super Broly movie. As this new arc, nicknamed the Moro Arc after its main villain is coming to a close, the question is where do they do from here? Also before you get into this article, I really hope you know your DBZ because there are just waaaaaay too many characters to take the time out to explain who everyone is one by one. Dragonball and Dragonball Z is one of the longest running anime and manga series since the 80's and while it seemed it was put to pasture after Dragonball GT ended in 1997, the only thing left was for the American dubs to catch up. Despite this the love and nostalgia for the series lived on with videogames and the occasional special here and there that would bring back the characters (like the Yo, Son Goku and his Friends Retu

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi

Five Nights at Freddy's- How FNAF 2 Complicated the Lore

By Mark Rodriguez Five Nights at Freddy's.... a game series that started out by being a security guard trying to survive 5 nights at a pizzeria full of haunted animatronics that spawned lots of sequels. Now the latest one is looking like it's going to be about some of the animatronics actually trying to keep you safe from a serial killer that might have been brainwashed by a possessed VR game. What the hell? FNAF.... how it started and where it's going......  Here's a quick trip down memory lane over just how simple the story of FNAF seemed to be in the first game, and how the second game started the long path of the huge mess that we have now. Now when the first game came out back in 2014, creator Scott Cawthon had no way of knowing it would be a smash hit with lots of sequels. In fact, it was a bit of a last desperate attempt to make it in the gaming business. It's hard to believe nowadays, but had FNAF failed, Scott would have given up working on video games and
