Comic Book Stash 11/28/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

We hit Third Eye once again, this time taking advantage of Black Friday discounts. They had 20% off the whole store, 50% off of graphic novels and longboxes full of dollar comics. We had quite a haul as is and nothing else really grabbed us, so we settled for our pullbox stock.

Batman # 162 (Hush 2)- So apparently the Hush 2 story was not finished in time for the big issue-number reboot. So this issue came out after the first 3 issues of the renumbering were already out. To top it off, it sounds like this completes the 'first part' of Hush 2, the second part out coming out sometime next year as the rebooted series continues on.

Batman (2025) # 3- The rebooted issue number series continues, all while the Hush 2 story before it is still on hold.

Batman Dark Patterns # 12- The conclusion not just to The Child of Fire mystery, but to the overall mini-series.

Batgirl # 13- The story continues. I'll eventually binge-read this.

The New Avengers # 6- The adventures continue.

RedCoat # 15- This is the series that Wendy is collecting, and she'll catch up on them.

Venom Black, White & Blood # 4- A collection of several short stories by different artists and writers regarding different points of Venom's life. The kicker is the comic is only in black, white and red.

Thundercats# 21- I'll get back to this.

TMNT Journeys # 1, 2 and 3- These are IDW reprints of the classic Mirage TMNT Volume 4 which was out a little before the 2003 cartoon hit. The funny this is, the volume was never completed and even though Laird is still allowed to do one or two comics a year, he had chosen not to do so. The volume has 32 issues, the last two being online only. This will be the first time that issues 31 and 32 will see print, but what will IDW do after that?

Spider-Man & Wolverine # 7- Spider-Man and Wolverine face a villain with the combined powers of both, and now they're both dead?

All-New Spider-Gwen Ghost Spider # 4- Spider-Gwen's adventures in the 616 universe continues.

Spider-Man 94 # 3- We find out the backstory behind Morlin. How does Kraven the Hunter fit into all this? What about Kaine?

Black Cat # 4- Her adventures continue, I'll eventually catch up on this too.

So this was quite a haul and we have some interesting things going on due to odd delays and uncertain futures. We have a new volume of Batman, all while the previous volume is still pumping out issues due to delays. Hush 2 isn't finished and a part 2 will eventually come out. It's still too soon to see if it will be a stand-alone min-series or if it'll somehow be crammed into the on-going series. Then we have TMNT Volume 4 being re-printed despite the original volume not having an ending. We'll see how it all goes. Good thing we got the Black Friday discount on all the stuff we got.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
