Comic Book Stash 10/11/2025

 By Mark Rodriguez

This has been one of the largest hauls yet. It's some books from Alpha Comics, some books from Third Eye, and even some from my oldest comic haunt, Velvet Underground Comics. We even got a book we'll probably never open.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures # 29-

The Pantheon members are taking turns trying to take out the Turtles so they can take Hob's leadership position. Now it's the Rat Queen's turn and she's teaming up with the Rat King.

TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures # 29 Review

Street Fighter and Friends Swimsuit Special 2025-

This was in the Alpha Comics pullbox, and there were two of them. I'm guessing this is the same book twice but with variant covers. Based on the cover it seems it'll be several Capcom characters from games like Darkstalkers, Power Stone and Rival School. Perfect timing for the release of Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

Darkstalkers V Street Fighter- Dark Love-

Another Darkstalkers and Street Fighter one-shot crossover. I'm not sure how this romance between Cammy and Charlie came about, especially since they're both Street Fighter characters.

RoboCop # 2-

I was able to get the second issue to the 90's comic book series at Velvet Underground at a good price. It saves me shipping prices from trying to buy it online, and I mean, I just had to buy something from my old comic shop.

Catwoman # 2-

In a similar fashion, I also found the second issue of the 90's Catwoman series over at Velvet Underground.

Detective Comics # 687

I bought this at Poor Boy Comics, located in the Boulevard Mall. It's part of of the classic 90's run which I'm still trying to collect.

All-New Spider-Gwen Ghost Spider # 2-

Gwen's adventures continue as she is now permanently in the main 616 universe.

Batgirl # 12-

Cassandra Cain's adventures continue.

Spider-Man '94 # 2-

Spider-Man is back with all-new adventures, and now Kaine is involved. I'm not too sure if it's a good idea to mix everybody's favorite 90's cartoon with everyone's least favorite comic book saga. Maybe this will be an attempt to do the Clone Saga right this time around?

Spider-Man & Wolverine # 6-

The team up continues as there's horror on the train.

Batman 2025 # 2-

Batman teams up with the 'best Robin', which I'm assuming is Tim Drake since I know Dick Grayson isn't going back to that.

Venom Black, White and Blood # 2-

An anthology of Venom stories from different writers and artists from different parts of his life.

Batman Dark Patterns # 11-

The mystery of 'The Child of Fire' continues.

The New Avengers # 5-

The New Avengers face off against the evil version of Reed Richards. Eddie Brock's Carnage own series might be coming to a close, but his adventures continue here as an Avenger, as insane as it sounds.

Black Cat # 2-

Black Cat becomes Marvel's new superheroine?

Super Mario Bros. # 1

The first issue, released back in 1990 at the height of Super Mario Bros 3 success. We were able to find a copy at Poor Boy Comics for a decent price. We are literally afraid to take this one out the bag and board. We'll see what we'll do with this one down the line.

So that's it for this haul. We're caught up on both our pullboxes until the next time, and we even threw in the comics we got during our Vegas trip. Now to find the time to start reviewing these things.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...
