Top 6 things We Hope to Get in the FNAF movie

 By Mark Rodriguez

It seems like a miracle that this movie is finally a reality. We went from hearing no news about it to the point that we thought the movie was just never going to be made to 'oh hey, the movie is not only being made but we're almost wrapped filming and here's a teaser trailer too!' . Of course, being fans of the long-running survival horror series, a lot of us have certain expectations and things we hope to see in the movie. Brought to you by the same people that created M3GAN, the latest trailer from Blumhouse shows that they might have given us exactly what we wanted. Here's my top 6 things that I hope to see.

1- Game Accurate Animatronics.

Based on what little we saw of them in the trailer and on the movie posters, this looks like a go! We all know how sometimes big Hollywood productions like to make big and broad design changes to spice things up for the movies. 'These guys are scary right, so let's make them look like the FNAF4 Nightmares ones!' Luckily Blumhouse is a smaller production and under Scott Cawthon's watchful eye, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy stayed as faithful as humanly possible. The only difference are the glowing red eyes, rather then the eyes going black with the white dots. Those will take time to get used to.

2- Actually seeing Freddy and friends during the day time

The closest we ever got to see how the animatronics act during regular business hours was never even in the games, but the trailer for the first FNAF game. There was even a 'showtime' video hidden within the FNAF VR Help Wanted game that was later removed that showed the crew singing and performing.

It's hard to say if we will see this happen 'live' in the movie itself though. The most we saw was a bit of Freddy and his friends performing in some sort of VHS 'welcome to your first day at the job' type of video. For all we know the pizzeria itself might have already been shut down and abandoned during the movie's setting.

3- The movie being based more on FNAF1 and not the newer games

Over the years the FNAF story has gone from a game about a a night security guard working at a pizzeria being unaware that the animatronics come to life and are out to murder him.... to a long, overly-complicated and convoluted story about William Afton killing kids to experiment with remnant to gain immortality while his son works undercover at the pizzerias hoping to stop him. Several fans miss the old days of the first 3 games before things went towards the direction of illusion discs and robot children.

The movie seems to go back into the game's roots, from what we saw of the 'welcome to your first day at the job' video and the video cameras focusing on if the animatronics stay on stage or not.

4- Maybe some things being cleared up with the lore

While the movie is sure to have its own take on things and it's own take on the lore (similar to the FNAF Silver Eyes book trilogy), maybe we'll get some hints and things that explain some of the lore. As of FNAF VR Help Wanted, the story has now moved forward to what is essentially the next arc in the FNAF saga. While they are clearly still referencing what came before, Security Breach and onwards seems to be taking the series in a different direction. This means any of the old unanswered questions of the first 6 games remain unanswered. Maybe the movie will shed some light on things. Or similar to the books, it might not be something exactly like the games, but it could introduce more information based on how the movie showed things.

One thing so far are the various theories stating that Mike Schmidt is actually Michael Afton going undercover as a security guard. I doubt that movie will follow this seeing as we see William Afton in the movie and it would be impossible for him not to recognize his own son in passing.

5- Other hidden Animatronics

While hopefully the main focus will be on Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, we might end up seeing cameos or references to other animatronics. Maybe we'll see a Toy Chica plush somewhere, or Afton will mention plans to open a Circus Baby Pizza World if the current Freddy's goes under. One thing's for sure, we do hope to see two main animatronics that would make sense for this movie, namely Golden Freddy and The Puppet. Even though The Puppet was introduced in FNAF 2, cut scenes in the game showed that it was around in the original pizzeria and was responsible for bonding the souls of the murdered children into the animatronics.

Some people even say it's Golden Freddy on Blumhouse's first teaser image rather than Freddy Fazbear himself. The fact that he's missing an ear, like we've seen with Golden Freddy in the games could be a clue.

6- Cameos from Youtubers

It's no secret that Five Nights at Freddy's went from being an indie game to an online sensation thanks to the attention brought to it by the Let's Play of YouTubers like PewDiePie, Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Likewise, Game Theory would try to piece together the lore which led to several YouTubers trying their hand at FNAF theories. So it would be cool to see at least one of them make a cameo somewhere. While I seriously doubt it, it would have been cool to have the Living Tombstone's Five Nights at Freddy's song somewhere though who knows how the royalties for that would work.

So far Dawko, Razzbowski, Bazamalam and 8Bit-Ryan have been invited to the movie set a few weeks before they announced they wrapped filming. Maybe they'll make a cameo somewhere.

So far the movie's looking pretty good, but this is just the teaser trailer. Still, it's a very good first impression. One thing I would have liked to have seen would have been a montage of the animatronics grabbing several security guards, ending with one of them being Markiplier. Now I'm wondering if it would have been funnier seeing Scott himself in a security guard uniform.

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...

Goshawk and Falconet # 1 (heavy spoilers so beware!)

By Mark Rodriguez Brought to you by the same studios that brought you Arachna # 1 and 2, we get a brand new superhero duo, Goshawk and Falconet. Let's check it out. The story opens with Goshawk and Falconet soaring through the sky just above Santa Monica Bay. They fly towards a ship that is being robbed. Goshawk tells her to secure the cargo while he keeps the guards busy.  The robbers are working for a villain named Black Parrot. Goshawk lands between two of them and bashes their heads together. Just then a third man pulls a gun on him from behind. Goshawk retracts his wings which knocks the gun out of the man's hand. Goshawk knocks the guy out while Falconet kicks the guy protecting the cargo. Falconet uses one of her claws to pick the padlock and finds a room full of captured women. She assures them that they're alright now. On the lower decks, Black Parrot and a woman named Secretarybird think their mission is a success. With the harbormaster being bought and paid for ...
