 By Mark Rodriguez It's time to continue with the semi-finals to see who will be the two final tag teams to compete and win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at Takeover! First Match- Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez VS Kacy Cantazaro and Kayden Carter NXT Live February 3, 2021 Kacy and Dakota start out as they try to out-grapple each other, Kacy being the first to armdrag her opponent across the mat. Kacy goes for a headlock but Dakota drags her over to the ropes and sits her on top of the turnbuckle. As Dakota runs towards her, Kacy leaps off and hits her with a takedown. Kacy tags Kayden in who quickly trips Dakota down. Kacy holds onto her as Kayden comes in with a kick to the face. Kayden goes for the pin but Dakota kicks out. Dakota manages to grab Kayden and slam her down into a backbreaker. Raquel is tagged in and Kayden shows no fear over her larger opponent, smacking her in the chest.  By Mark Rodriguez We have the first ever NXT Dusty Rhodes Women Tag Team Classic this year with the matches going on during NXT Live and 205 Live. Last week we got the surprising debut of Priscilla Kelly and Elayna Black under their new ring names Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade. We also saw the surprising loss of the team of Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm because Io Shirai hijacked the match. Let's see what else happens. Match 1- Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez VS Aliyah and Jessi Kamea NXT Live 1/27/2021 Raquel and Aliyah started off grappling but Raquel uses her height and strength advantage to pick her up, swing her around and drop her. Aliyah tags in her partner and Raquel picks her up in a variation of the torture rack. She lets her go and goes for an elbow drop but misses. This gives Kamea time to hit her with a dropkick and a running elbow to the face. Raquel swings Kamea over to Dakota's corner where she tries to go for a cheap shot but the ref caught her.  By Mark Rodriguez Since AEW became a thing I pretty much left WWE behind as I got sick of them and the direction they were going back then. I knew eventually I would come back, especially if they ever made another Mae Young Classic or Evolution 2. Well, as time went on some of the indie darlings I've been following on Rise Women's Wrestling and elsewhere have made it to NXT or AEW. For NXT I've seen Chelsea Greene and Shotiz Blackheart make the jump and for AEW I see Big Swole and Britt Baker over there. Now that NXT released the first ever Dusty Rhodes Womens Tag Team Classic as well as recently signing Priscilla Kelly and Elayna Black (as Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade), let's check it out. Since these matches also take place alongside the regular guy matches, there seems to be two a week, one on NXT and the other on 205 Live. I'm not sure if the main event will be featured either on NXT or as part of a PPV like the Finals of the last Mae Young Classic a few years back...
