Comic Book Stash 2/24/2025

By Mark Rodriguez

This time I went to Third Eye Comics on a Monday before the comics in the pull box piled up too high. I found out that Street Fighter Prime was already out, so we went to Stories for that one. I also won the bid for two classic Spider-Man comics over at Hipcomic. Let's check out what I got this time around.

Eddie Brock Carnage # 1

It seems that while Brock's son is Venom, now Brock has the Carnage Symbiote. Can he still be a hero while keeping Carnage's murderous impulses at bay?

Eddie Brock Carnage # 1 Review

Aliens VS Avengers # 3

Back after some monthly delays. I'll eventually get to this one.

All New Venom # 3

Dylan Brock continues to piece together who the new Venom is, when suddenly Madame Masque strikes!

All-New Venom # 3 Review

Street Fighter Prime # 0

The new series begins as the Street Fighters face all new villains. I saw some alternate covers and it seems one of the new bad guys is that lumberjack lady we saw in the Blanka Masters comic a few years earlier.

Street Fighter Prime # 0 Review

Batman Dark Patterns # 3

The epic conclusion to 'We are the Wounded'. Batman goes after the people behind the Wounded Man, but what will he find?

Batman Dark Patterns # 3 Review

Psylocke # 4

Kwannon's adventures continue. I'll catch up to this one eventually.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 283

Spider-Man goes against the Absorbing Man and Titania. I wonder why he's fighting Hulk villains. I also wonder if Spidey is wearing the symbiote suit or just the regular black outfit he wore for a while after he got rid of it. I won this at an auction from Infinity Comics on Hipcomic. Man, the old days when comics cost 75 cents.

The Amazing Spider-Man (1986) # 283 Review

The Amazing Spider-Man # 348

The Sandman leading Spider-man and the Avengers into battle???? How can I pass this one up?

The Amazing Spider-Man (1991) # 348 Review

Pretty good haul without going too wild. Now that the Fatal Fury City of Wolves beta is offline, I can get back into reading comics.

Update-

Similar to last time, we got Bloodruth in the mail the very next day. This is the latest release from the Rippaverse as the character first appeared in Isom # 2 and was popular enough to get her first book.

Jups went all out with this one, not just getting the comic but also a Bloodrtuh beanie, two Bloodruth shirts and a Bloodruth plushie. Expect a review soon.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament The Deadly Draw- Final Match

By Mark Rodriguez Alright guys, so this is the final match between the Women's Tag Tournament, the Deadly Draw meaning that teams were made at random depending on what color chips they would select out of a drawing. The final match was between the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie against the team of Ivelisse and Diamante, and it was shown Saturday, rather than Wednesday due to the NBA Play-Offs. The Match- The Nightmare Sisters (with Dustin & QT Marshall) VS Diamante & Ivelisse Due to the time constraints, the NBA game finished a half hour later than expected and the TNT Championship match was following this, so there wasn't time for a lot of shenanigans. Things started between Ivelisse and Brandi who started off with an exchange of armlocks and headlocks. Ivelisse tags Diamante in and after both ladies kicked her down and picked her up for a double slam. Brandi managed to tag Allie in who would quickly kick Diamante down. Diamante gets Allie in an armbar and...

Arachna# 1 Review *Spoilers*

By Mark Rodriguez Here's another awesome comic from independent artists that opened up an Indiegogo to get it started. I usually don't chip in unless it looks real good, like you just know they're gonna hit their goal. Arachna, a sexy superheroine with a split personality and an amazing art syle, sure looked like a good pick for me.  With lots of clever marketing in advance, even getting a person to dress as Arachna herself to bring the character to life, they hit their goal the same day they actually opened the Indiegogo for donations. I chipped in for the comic and the shirt, and here is my review on the latest superheroine that's bringing sexy back to comics, Arachna! Also note, while I'll try to keep my language as tame as I can, this book deals with way more adult stuff than I usually discuss on this blog. The Adventure Begins The issue opens with Jennie lying in bed naked in her apartment, a noticeable pile of sketches lying on the floor. She awakens to a voi...

SNK VS Capcom Chaos Volume 1

By Mark Rodriguez We'll be seeing a few crossovers this month, and we're gonna start with one based on a crossover videogame. If you think the Malibu SF comic series was kinda sloppy, this one was literally all action, pin ups and splash pages, and what little story in it is just plain weird. I'm talking about the SNK VS Capcom Chaos comics made by Happy Comics, translated by Japan and produced with supervision from both SNK Playmore and Capcom. But first a brief explanation on the game this was inspired from. In 2000, Capcom produced Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000 which would throw the fighters of Capcom and SNK at each other. Unfortunately, aside from Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, the game felt more like Street Fighter VS King of Fighters. Capcom later made Capcom VS SNK 2 Mark of the Millenium with even more characters and variety as well as different modes of play. SNK made their own game, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and it offered a bit more...
