TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures Continued # 1

By Mark Rodriguez The 80's Turtles are back with a new comic book series from IDW. While it was initially a 4-issue mini series, IDW decided to go ahead and bring them back for a longer on-going series. This time they face the Rat King, only now he can control the Turtles instead of rats! "The Turtle King Part 1" opens with two guys driving towards a dump site in a pick up truck full of canisters. They almost hit a blind guy crossing the street and as they swerve to avoid him, one of the canisters falls into the sewer. The guy in the passenger seat tells the driver to be more careful as they could have spilled the entire load of canisters. He says who knows what would happen if this stuff got out. In the sewers, two rats find the canister and pick it up. The rats bring the canister to the Rat King, who is accepting offerings from his loyal rats. Rat King grabs the vial and checks it out, but it's cracked and some of it sprays his eyes. He drops the canister and tell...

Apama The Undiscovered Animal! # 10 (First appearance of The Tap Dance Killer!)

By Mark Rodriguez One of the highlights of checking out Steel City Con and Sci Fi Valley Con was running into Ted Sikora and seeing what new comics he's working on. In Sikora's Hero Tomorrow Comics, one of his popular characters is the Tap Dance Killer. She would get her own comic series, but she would first make her appearance in his other series Apama The Undiscovered Animal # 10. Likewise, The Tap Dance Killer would introduce Punchline who would also get his own series. But before we go into any of that, let's take it back to Apama and see the debut of the Tap Dance Killer.  The issue opens with a recap explaining that an ice cream man named Ilyia Zjarsky found an old cave with the markings of something called Apama the Undiscovered Animal. After copying the required poses, he was able to unlock the powers of Apama. In the previous issue, there was a 'Ten Cent Beer Night' at a baseball stadium. His arch-nemesis Regina crashed the party and killed the mascot, pin...

Mark and Jupi review AEW Rampage/Collision/Battle of the Belts VII (women's matches) 7/14-7/15/2023

By Mark Rodriguez and Ninja Jupi This week's Ring of Honor matches were the usual jobber fare, so we decided to check out the matches relating to Rampage, Collision and Battle of the Belts VII that aired Friday and Saturday. There will be a lot of Willow Nightgale, which is always good news for Jupi. AEW Rampage- Taya Valkyrie VS Izzy McQueen Taya pretty much squashed Izzy with two moves. Then the Outcasts, Saraya and Toni showed up to talk trash. Taya asks Toni if she should worry about her AEW Women's Title, to which the champ replies that she's beaten everyone. Taya reminds her that they haven't ever wrestled each other, and after some provoking, Toni agrees to put her title on the line against her at Battle of the Belts VII. Mark's Thoughts - Not much to say. Whenever they say 'So-and-So will be in Action tonight' it means they'll face a real bottom of the barrel jobber not even worth naming, so I was expecting a squash, but like... not a super squa...
