Street Fighter Masters: Cammy

By Mark Rodriguez A while back there was a Free Comic Book Day book called Street Fighter Masters: Blanka which focused on the famous Brazilian beast. Now Udon has continued a line of 'Masters' books, and Cammy got her own one-shot. Let's check it out. 'Cammy- Model Soldier' opens in a London fashion show where the models showcase the latest looks of the year, while being in top shape themselves. We see that one of the models is Cammy, working undercover.  We flashback to sometime prior where the members of Delta Red discussed that Shadaloo has entered brainwashed killer supermodels to attack a visiting Indonesian general at the fashion show. The assassin is unknown and if the place has too much security, it might scare them off. Delta Red and Delta Blue will be working together to fish out the assassin with the agents that are 'best suited' for the mission.  At the event, Lita complains to Cammy about walking around in high heel boots. Cammy says the plan ...

Batman 89 Echoes # 1

By Mark Rodriguez A few years back we had a 6-part series called Batman 89, which was sort of a 'what if only Batman and Batman Returns happened' and the adventures continued past there. We never got to see Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face, so that story dealt with that. Now Batman 89 returns with another 6-part story. The issue opens with three men driving away from a heist. They are so desperate to get away from the police, they hit a fire hydrant which totals the car. They decide to grab the loot and run since they're close to the docks when Batman arrives. One of the men shoots Batman dead, but despite getting a clear shot, he can't believe that the Dark Knight is actually dead. The other two guys run off as the police arrive while the gunman is freaking out and continues to 'shoot' Batman even though his gun is empty. The cops grab the gunman and confirm Batman is dead, or at least someone dressed as him. Lt. Bullock calls Barbara Gordon to let her know that...

Mark and Jupi Review Ring of Honor Ep 40 11/30/2023 (Women's Matches)

By Mark Rodriguez We got four matches tonight to check out, and something happens between Athena and Billie Starkz. We just had to cover this one. The show opens with a segment with Athena berating Billie about how they always seem to win in singles matches and lose in tag matches. She calls Billie a failure and says she expects her to be as such. Tonight Billie faces Marina Shafir so she gets a chance to avenge their los against Marina and Rousey. After Billie leaves, Athena cuts a promo on Eddie Kingston since he said she doesn't carry her weight in Ring of Honor, as Lexi backs her up. We get a second segment where Lexi asks both Maria Kanellis and Rachael Ellering about Leyla's condition since she has a match tonight. Rachael asks Maria why she was talking to the Renegade Twins and Leyla also comes in to inquire the same. Maria says she was only introducing herself to them and both women doesn't quite buy it. Since Leyla has a match, she asks if Maria will be in her cor...

The Superior Spider-Man # 1 (2023)

By Mark Rodriguez Back in 2013 we had the story where Doctor Octopus switched his dying body with that of Peter Parker. For a while Octavius became the Super Spider-Man, fighting the bad guys his way, but eventually Peter got his body back. Now the Superior Spider-Man has somehow returned. Let's see what brings him back a decade later. Before we begin, the preface explains that Peter Parker got to live in a reality where Uncle Ben lived. Upon returning, he regained his memories and a new sidekick called Spider-Boy that claims to have always been around. Meanwhile, Doc Ock has hazy memories of his time as the Superior Spider-Man. When he ran into one of his older experiments, he accidentally released a super villain he captured when he was the Superior Spider-Man. Due to this, the villain is now seeking revenge against Spider-Man instead of Doc Ock. 'Mistaken Identity Crisis' starts in New York City where a criminal named Mirage robbed a jewelry store. The villain has the ...

Red Sonja: The Price of Blood Issue One review

By Mark Rodriguez Upon checking out Third Eye Comics, they had a 'Fun Box' full of 25 mystery comics and some graphic novels. We got an interesting assortment of Marvel, DC and indie stuff, but one of the comics that stood out to me was this Red Sonja comic. Let's have a look. The issue opens with Sonja being trapped in some sort of prison with a crazy laughing inmate. Sonja tells him to stop gawking at her. The man tells her he doesn't see many women and the last woman that was locked up kept bashing her head against the wall until she died. Sonja says she can wipe the smile off his face and he says he doubts she can. She kicks him in the face. A third inmate named Bamba says he's been wanting to do that for a long time.  Bamba wants to hear Sonja's tale and she refuses. He tells her they're trapped and will only be set free to be sent to the gallows where they will face their death. He'd rather spend the last hours of his life listening to a beautiful...
